Minneapolis band Now, Now have recently put out their sophomore LP on Trans-Records, which an impressive feat because that label is owned by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie, and kind of hints that there are even bigger things on the horizon for this young band. Their recent release holds quite a few gems. Among them an old track, titled “School Friends”, has laid in wait for discovery and even though the drummer Brad Hale never thought the song would resurface- it is now blowing up all over the net. (Not literally, of course.) I think its relatable because its about being unhappy with your school, particularly college, experience and how it it never is quite what you make it out to be in your head.
