While some of you may have already heard of Seven Lions, we wanted to do an introduction post regardless, as most of you probably haven’t. This Californian producer has only been releasing tracks for the past year or so, and with what we’ve heard so far, we’re really excited to see more.
Seven Lions has a style that’s similar to Minnesota in a way. They both play what is now being labeled as progressive dubstep – smooth, melodic, and downright entrancing music, that still carries the right amount of aggression and punch in the bassline. With Seven Lions, you have a little more glitch at times, which is what differentiates him. And let’s face it, anyone who gets a personal endorsement from Above and Beyond has some raw talent.
We’ve included three tracks for your listening pleasure. The first track is a radio rip of “Below Us” from BBC Radio, which is off his Polarized EP, due out April 23rd. The two that follow are a little bit older, but equally as impressive.
