A lot of artists work on music while they’re on tour. The long flights, the long bus rides, and the lonliness of a hotel room often prove to be the perfect place to work on a melody, or maybe even perfect a sample. Few artists can turn out a two track EP with collaborators though, and even fewer could do it in just four days.
Leave it to the brilliant Savant to show us that it is most definitely possible. When Savant was touring through Toronto, Canadian producers AdamK and JELO graciously put him up for four days. What happened in those four days is pretty obvious – 4 Days EP.
The first track below is the collabo with Adam K. This glitchy complextro track features choppy vocal samples and 8-bit delights that blend perfectly with the big buzzing electro beats. The second track comes by way of Savant and JELO. This electro house gem is a melody and drum driven track that features a really wicked break beat breakdown that took us completely by surprise.
Enjoy the exclusive premiere of both of these tracks through the weekend. They’ll be available to purchase on Monday via SectionZ Records.
