Audio Dope 4
Can you believe it’s already been three years since Curren$y released Pilot Talk? That’s right around the time we heard the first single in the “Audio Dope” series. Of course “Audio Dope 2” is the most prominent in the collection thus far, but each and every release has brought something new to the table, which is what really makes them so unique. The most fascinating point of all might be that if you were to listen to them all separately, you’d never think to tie them together outside of their name and numbering. It’s truly a testament to the versatility of a rapper that plenty of people criticize for sounding the same on every song (those who accuse him of that though, really just aren’t paying attention). Also, it shows that not every song has to follow a certain formula to fit within a scheme (a good contrast could be Rick Ross‘ “Maybach Music” series). Here, they all just have to be dope enough to earn their title.
