Right out of the Hot oven comes the hopeful romantic rock song “Goddness On The Prairie” from Vancouver-based band Hot Hot Heat‘s upcoming album Future Breeds releasing next week! (June 8th). Spin Mag not only was the first to get the exclusive track but also sat down with frontman Steve Bays to discuss its origin.
“It’s the first positive love song I’ve ever written,” Bays tells SPIN.com. “I wrote it shortly before getting engaged — and it’s the only song on the album written from my own perspective.” Better yet, he sings about love over an infectious guitar riff that recalls “Turning Japanese” by one-hit wonder the Vapors. –Spin Magazine
