Solo Dancing (Chris Lake Remix)
Having just seen Chris Lake a month ago at Beta Nightclub, we were admittedly eager to see this tune pop into our radar. While our headphones won’t do justice in comparison to those glorious Funktion Ones, we’re happy to have our mitts on this Londoner’s take on “Solo Dancing”
The original song came out about a month ago, and has already racked up 160,000 plays on Soundcloud. The vocals from Nottingham based singer/songrwiter Indiana are subdued, effortlessly gliding over a simplistic beat. Coupled only with intermittent synthesizers, the main focus is on the lyrics, which paved the way for this track to find a more mainstream EDM interpretation.
Who better to take this on then one of our favorites in the game, Chris Lake. This often hilarious Producer/DJ has taken what was originally an attractive, underground sound, and primed it for the radio. By coupling in some large four to the floor beats and some electro house synths, this remix will be appreciated by dance clubs and festivals all over the world.
