When you’re a quasi-anonymous up and comer from Chicago with a hazy sound and a nice beat, it really just makes perfect sense to team up with a quasi-anonymous up and comer from Vancouver to make some songs. And such is the case with Houses and Teen Daze. We couldn’t really find much out about Houses but we did get some background from Neu Magazine, who told us that the duo, in the latest in this summer’s set of DIY significant other music makers, moved to Hawaii on a whim thanks to this country’s glorious economy and began making music and quoted that their bodies had melted into one. I’m not exactly sure what that means, but it does seem to make a whole lot of sense when you listen to their tunes.
