Today’s a huge day for Pegboard Nerds‘ fans across the globe. Even though Black Friday and Cyber Monday are well behind us, this Scandanavian duo is apparently still in the giving spirit, offering up both a new song releases and a new music video, all in the same day.
Following up Pink Cloud EP, which has raised an eye-opening $35,000 for Fuck Cancer, “Emoji” falls into line with what the fans have come to know and love. It’s playful, yet doesn’t ease up through the drops, providing plenty of authentic, razor-sharp synths, and heavy bass. And, as we mentioned before, Alex and Michael paired up today’s release with a music video directed by Patrick Jean, who’s short film “Pixels,” spawned the Hollywood blockbuster starring Adam Sandler.
As you’re already aware, we typically don’t post music videos, but this is well-deserved. The creative take on an aspect of pop culture that’s seemingly everywhere not only matches with their lighthearted personalities but also carries the story of “Emoji” quite perfectly.
