As the number of dubstep producers grow every day, one would think it is getting harder to stand out from the rest. But that could not be further from the truth. With an ample amount of upcoming producers rehashing the same formulas, it has become increasingly easier to spot talent. This brings us to Jeff Montalvo and why we can’t seem to get enough of him. The Santa Barbara producer going by the moniker Seven Lions, instinctively distinguishes himself by driving away from the norm to create beautiful, portent and uniquely crafted melodic dubstep experiences.
Just five months ago, Seven Lions released his first Above And Beyond remix, forcing the world to take notice. Yesterday, he came full circle with another powerful rendition from the popular English trance music group. “On My Way to Heaven” is off the second studio album Group Therapy by Above & Beyond, released on 6 June 2011, and leave it to Seven Lions to bring the track down to his own dubstep realm inflicting his own heavy style, without overpowering the original.
