Maybe it’s the bourbon talking, but that banjo is calling our name. Wait, maybe it’s not the banjo. There’s a lot in this song that’s drawing us closer and closer to it. Roadkill Ghost Choir has something special going here. Those tinny vocals match up with the driving folk percussions to create something. It’s all so familiar and so inviting.
It’s Americana. RGC’s “Beggar’s Guild” has that piece of heritage that we want to hold on to. Music has become such a global sound as of late, that it’s nice to hear something that makes you feel right at home.
