Asher Roth took to Twitter a few minutes ago to drop off a new track featuring the always dope New Orleans emcee, Curren$y. Over the minimal, but dope, production of Blended Babies, Roth spits an entertaining, goofy stream of consciousness demonstrating why he is one of the more underrated rappers out right now. Curren$y, fresh off one of his dopest projects yet, picks up the pace a bit in his verse with out losing the light feel of the song. Stream and download this gem below.
[Hip-Hop] Asher Roth-The World is Not Enough (Prod. David Appleton)
In celebration of #AshWednesday, Bad Boy Records emcee Asher Roth took to his Twitter to bless followers with a new free track titled “The World is Not Enough”. Although the single borrows its title from the 007 series movie, all similarities end there. Utilizing the same sample as the Stalley beat for “Petrin Pill Heonies”, Roth delivers a vibrant politically conscience rhyme about helping out the world through music. Although “politico-rap” rarely makes it to mainstream radio these days, this track is a hot summer jam and Roth comes through with an old-school vibe.
I have really been feeling his latest leaks and am anticipating his new album, dropping later this year. Stream and download the positive, intelligent “The World Is Not Enough” below.

[Video/NSFW] Asher Roth – Muddy Swim Trunks
Asher Roth is the kind of artist a lot of people feel very differently about. I for one like the kid. I can’t say I’ve listen to every single song he has done. Actually 30 minutes before even writing this, I couldn’t have said I had listened to anything else other than ‘I Love College’ from his 2009 album Asleep In The Bread Aisle. But nonetheless, I think Roth shows promise as being an upcoming force in the competitive hip/hop game of today. His genuine love for the craft is transparent in his music and the fact that he doesn’t keep rapping about how good his rhymes are compared to some other bitch, is always a plus. While I am not too thrilled about the mellow ‘Muddy Swim Trunks’ from his new mixtape ‘Seared Foie Gras with Quince and Cranberry’, I find his flow and the subject of his lyrics refreshing. You can take a look at his new mixtape here and please comment below to tell me what you think?
