[NEW] Kanye West – White Dress

This week has been all about The Man With the Iron Fists. The Quentin Tarantino-presented and RZA-written-and-directed film, which hits theaters on November 2nd, has enlisted an all-star group of hip-hop’s finest for its epic soundtrack. Yesterday, we heard The Black Keys & RZA collaborate on “The Baddest Man Alive,” this morning we listened to Wu-Tang Clan‘s contribution “Six Directions of Boxing,” and right now we’re presenting Kanye West‘s “White Dress”. The highly anticipated track doesn’t need much introduction and could’ve certainly stood on its own, but it’s accompanied by a video that literally takes you around the world. You can also stream it below, enjoy!

[HIp-Hop] Pusha T – Pain ft. Future (Prod. Kanye West)

Shortly after the release of Cruel Summer, G.O.O.D. Music emcee Pusha T drops an impromptu new single, titled “Pain”. The Kanye West produced track is a creatively gritty single mixing heavy bass, maraca rips, gunshot echoes and background vocals cultivating a dark vibe. As expected, the Bronx rapper does this tough beat justice by delivering some dope lines throughout his lyrically witty verses.

With lines like “18 wheeler gorillas/ black with gold chains/pitch bird like the steelers/hines ward of the crime lords/running through this money screaming encore,” Pusha T maintains his street persona that is then softened by the auto-tuned hook from the ATL emcee Future. This track is nothing less than a certified banger with a cold beat that is just in time for “hoodie weather” season. Although it is not clear whether this will be on Pusha’s long awaited debut solo studio album or the rumored Cruel Winter compilation LP, you should still enjoy the track below.

San Diego based producer/mash-up artist Carlos Serrano blessed us a few days ago with an awesome take on Kanye West‘s “Get ‘ Em High,” featuring the Chromatic‘s “Lady” as the backdrop. Using the remix-friendly throwback Yeezy vocals, Serrano manages to completely transform the feel of the original with the steadily climbing instrumental and beautiful chorus of the Chromatic’s Ruth Radelet.

Give this creative mix a listen and download below and make sure to also check out Serrano’s awesome Kanye x Washed Out mash-up, “Diamonds From Far Away,” which is included as well. [MP3 Playlist] The Trap Dojo: Volume #5

This week has been absolutely massive for Trap music! I won’t bother to tell you about how Trap is conquering and infiltrating all forms of EDM, because, if you have been paying attention over the past couple of months I’m sure you already know (and if you didn’t know that, we welcome you to the wonderful world of the Dirty South). First up Wick-It The Instigator throws some classic dub sounds before switching it back to a straight-up “Dirty South Gangsta” beat. Next is a kid you definitely need to be familiar with because he is blowing up in a HUGE way. Already featured on two of the past Dojos 15 year old ∆lex Young brings us two absolute bangers; the first, a collab with The Hi-Yahs, “So Much” and the booty-dropping “Boomerang”.  Hey, while we’re on the subject, experts in booty dropping, shaking, bouncing and percolating, Bro Safari drop “That A$$” down to the floor once again. Watch out for another huge track from him later today. Another Trap Dojo regular, Ookay remixes a couple old favorites by Sidney Samson and Bingo Players. I hope this guy can keep making such great tracks so consistently, so far releasing 8 tracks in the last month that his Soundcloud profile has existed. Yet another big figure, Luminox, whose Trap mix of Bingo Players “Rattle” has been picked up by the likes of Ministry of Sound, remixes one of the two tracks this week by The Party Squad, bringing those Hardstyle sounds to the streets. The rest of the list basically serves as a who’s who in the Trap scene, with names like Oh Snap!!, gLAdiator, Trill Murray, Gent & Jawns along with a few lesser known names sprinkled in for good measure.

Oh, and one more thing. Here is the link to download all the free tracks this week. Enjoy.

[LIST] Hip-Hop Cash Kings: The Richest Rappers

Forbes recently released a list of 2012’s hip-hop “Cash Kings,” ranking the rap world’s top earners. Snagging the #1 spot was Dr. Dre, who wrangled up a whopping $110 million — half of which can be attributed to his Beats by Dre headphone brand. The West Coast producer and emcee was joined by #2 Diddy (buoyed by his Ciroc vodka), #3 Jay-Z (his money raked in from number of places, like the Brooklyn Nets) and #4 Kanye (reaping much of the benefits from Watch The Throne). Eminem, who hasn’t exactly been a popular face for corporate endorsements and sponsorships, still placed at #9, bolstered by his music, selling more albums in the last 10 years than any artist. What are your thoughts, ninjas?

1. Dr. Dre – $110 million
2. Diddy – $45 million
3. Jay-Z – $38 million
4. Kanye West – $35 million
5. Lil Wayne – $27 million
6. Drake – $20.5 million
