In the last few years, Curren$y has proven one of the most prolific and consistent artists in hip-hop. Recently, the New Orleans Spitta has recruited and assembled a very dope crew on his Jet Life Recordings label (including Sir Michael Rocks and Smoke DZA). His most recent album, The Stoned Immaculate, serves as a coming up party of sorts with its wide array of features and notable production from the likes of Cardo, Big K.R.I.T. and Pharrell. I felt that, while some artists tend to give up some of their integrity to appeal to a wider audience, Curren$y continued to keep it 100% on his most recent effort. Here is a remix of one of my favorite tracks featuring two hip-hop giants in Weezy (Spitta was actually signed to Young Money at one point) and Jeezy. Jets, fool…
[Hip-Hop] Curren$y – Jet Life (Remix) ft. Lil Wayne & Young Jeezy
French Montana – Pop That (feat. Rick Ross, Drake & Lil Wayne)
We may complain how mainstream hip/hop has become all about swagger, strippers and making money… but well, French Montana delivers a noteworthy track with the immaculate production. It may not be the most intellectual track this year yet this new hip/hop anthem delivers infectious verses from Rick Ross, Drake and Lil Wayne. “Pop That” is the lead track from French Montana’s upcoming debut album Excuse My French, out July 17th.
Lil Wayne – Ghoulish (Pusha T Diss)
YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music are two of the most dominant and successful hip/hop crews in present day. Once in good terms, these two factions headed by Kanye West and Lil Wayne, respectively, are now in a heated fued, primarily sparked by the verses in Pusha T latest release “Exodus 23:1”. Although there are no direct mentions of either Drake or his boss Weezy, Pusha T’s references were obvious:
Lil Wayne was quick to respond, twitting:
Fuk pusha t and anybody that love em
— Lil Wayne WEEZY F (@LilTunechi) May 24, 2012
The beef between YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music just grew louder with Lil Wayne now personally involved, countering with a track titled “Pusha T Diss”.
It is reported that Pusha T already has a personal counter for Lil Wayne, to which he will release in the coming hours. We can only hope we have enough pop corn to watch the feud unfold in the coming days.

[Rap/Hiphop] Busta Rhymes featuring Missy Elliott, Lil’ Wayne & Chris Brown – Why Stop Now (Remix)
Someone told Busta Rhymes his current single “Why Stop Now” feat. Chris Brown could be way better then it was and guess what.. he listened! Adding more vocals, lyrics and adjusting the flow has really shows that the 11x nominated Grammy rapper is not afraid to innovate on old tracks, something that we’ve seen happen a lot more recently in the EDM scene with artists like Dillon Francis and his 2 versions of I.D.G.A.F.O.S and Beutician.
The new & improved Why Stop Now opens the floor for Lil’ Wayne and Busta’s sweetly-named “beautiful twin” Missy Elliott who matched Busta in her fierce spit of lyrics down the mic. With all artists dropping their lyrics in a style they do best, the record really steps up a notch and added to the best of busta collection 🙂

Busta’s ninth studio effort, E.L.E. (Extinction Level Event) 2: End of the World, drops later this year.
Big ups MixtapeMaestro for the tip off!
Stream/Review: Drake – Take Care
Our friend Anthony from the Needledrop created a video review for Drake’s new album Take Care, released today. We really couldn’t have said it better ourselves. The new album does provide big improvements from its previous release but it still leaves you overdosed on Drake, with over 80 long minutes of him. Some collaboration and features do give the album greater dynamics but unfortunately they also add a lot of filler. A clearly softer album showing his sensitive side, but many times things take a turn for the corny side. Either way a great video review to watch for anyone interested in the album. What are your thoughts? Comment below.
[Hip/Hop] Birdman – Y.U. Mad (feat. Nicki Minaj & Lil Wayne)
Birdman is set to release his upcoming album ‘Bigger Than Life’ on November 22nd with his first single from it already making its way across the internet. Featuring a couple great verses from both Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, Y.U. Mad sets the pace for things to come from Bryan Williams.

[Dubstep] DJ Khaled Ft Drake, Lil Wayne – I’m On One (KillaGraham Remix)
KillaGraham just dropped this massive remix of Drake’s I’m On One, turning a standard Top 40 hip hop song into a total dubstep banger. Relatively new to the dubstep scene, KillaGraham is quickly demonstrating his fearsome musical talent with track after track of fat bass, trippy synth and catchy melodies that you can vibe, dance, or straight up rage to. He’s got a bunch of free downloads on his Soundcloud, all of which are just as dirty as this new remix, so there’s no excuse not to grab this stuff and start groovin.
