Without even dropping a full-length, Mikky Ekko looks to be one of the most promising new artists of 2012-2013. Much of the buzz has to do with “Pull Me Down,” a silky R&B-infused pop song that could easily hold its own against most radio hits. If there’s more where that came from, the praise will certainly continue to pour in. While we wait for new material, we can vibe to this Ryan Hemsworth remix. The producer extraordinaire, who came and conquered 2012, looks at the anxious side of love by adding some edgy and twitchy elements, making the original less of a smooth, wooing ballad and more of an urgent, hungry plea.
