If you plan to wobble around the Christmas Tree, look no further. To celebrate this jolly Holiday PatrickReza has brought gifts through the airwaves with his latest remix of ‘Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree’. Heavy and grinding basslines to the original vocals of Brenda Lee makes this the perfect dubstep song for your upcoming Christmas party. Enjoy!
Brenda Lee – Rockin’ around the Christmas Tree (PatrickReza Dubstep)
The Veronicas – Lolita (PatrickReza Dubstep Remix)
There’s a rule we have around The Music Ninja office. It pretty much says that if PatrickReza is releasing something, we post it. We’ve watched Patrick progress over the past year, and each remix he does just continues to impress us. It won’t be long before this young producer is running with the big boys.
In this latest track, Patrick has been slated to do an official remix of The Veronicas’ “Lolita.” The Australian twin sister pop duo released the original earlier this year. It already has a very heavy EDM sound, it’s easy to see why they reached out for some remixes. Patrick does an amazing job of creating a large atmospheric build up, which compliments the vocals well. From there dark crunchy wobbles, high pitched synths, and ominous break downs make this creepy remix one to hold on to.
Drule – The Samples (Prod. by PatrickReza)
There is no question that it is hard to make a name for oneself in the current state of music. With so many new rising new artists, particularly in the electronic genre as anyone can make beats using their computer, it is hard to stand out. However, once again PatrickReza delivers promise under a new moniker for a much experimental project, Drule.
We have seen PatrickReza improve in style and execution with every single dubstep-driven track, and today we have a much more sporadic yet equality intriguing collection of sounds to share with you.
Drule feels like a sketchbook with an empty canvas for PatrickReza to work on non-dubstep related tracks. Ranging from drum&bass to glitch hop, he is able to create new sound and experiences that while not fully materialized, feel just as coherent as his main project. Both “Stars” and “Skyfall” bring a level of insight into the mind of the youthful Los Angeles producer.

[Dubstep] Moby – Extreme Ways [Bourne’s Legacy] (PatrickReza Remix)
Yes, this is an Official Remix from the man PatrickReza of Moby‘s “Extreme Ways”. On first listen, images of The Bourne Ultimatum may start running through your head. But Moby re-recorded this track recently for The Bourne Legacy basing it around a 110 BPM structure. Patrick utilizes the suspenseful build up perfectly while staying true to the original, sprinkling some subtle yet powerful vocal edits all throughout the intro. Before you know it you are smashed in the face with relentless wobbles that have a heavy UK dub influence. His unforgiving sound works flawlessly with the empowering vocals on this track, mixing together better then you can imagine. What’s better then some hot and heavy Dub filth over a track from Moby? Good answer, nothing. Cheers.
Hard to believe it has been a year since we first featured Patrick’s massive remix of Lana Del Rey‘s track “Blue Jeans”!
Release date is September 19th, follow PatrickReza on Facebook, Twitter, and SoundCloud.
PatrickReza – Come Alive (Featuring Ingrid)
After many months of remixes PatrickReza has graduated to produce one of his first original tracks. “Come Alive” is a chillstep track, with a relaxing intro that slowly transforms into a subtly aggressive rhythmic monster. Collaborating with a LA singer and friend, Ingrid, PatrickReza showcases his maturity as a producer with a much polished sound. While the dark vocals may be tough to digest, “Come Alive” is another step in the right direction for this rising star in the dubstep scene.
[Dubstep] Florence + The Machine – Cosmic Love (PatrickReza Remix)
We’ve really come to love Patrick Reza. Not only does he produce gorgeous remixes of some of our favorite indie artists, but his youthful enthusiasm just makes us smile. Every time a remix is ready to come out, he’s so excited to share the news with us. It’s that enthusiasm that makes what we do so much fun.
In Patrick’s latest remix, he chose to throw his gritty wobbles and walking bass breakdowns over the illustrious voice of Florence Welch from Florence and the Machine. This remix, as all of Patrick’s tracks, balance carefully with the lyrics and select elements of the original. Notice how meticulously the harp blends with the bass and synthesized elements. It’s positively gorgeous.
All of Patrick Reza’s tracks are available for free downloads, so give him a “like”, download, and enjoy.
Ellie Goulding – High For This (PatrickReza Dubstep Remix)
Just yesterday we blogged a soothing cover by Ellie Goulding (produced by Xaphoon Jones) for ‘High For This’ by hip/hop group Weeknd. And quite literally overnight, Los Angeles 19-year-old producer PatrickReza was able to craft a dubstep track to make it justice. This new rendition is not a big departure from the original, but the simplistic production helps the vocals stand out amongst the wobbles sloshing in the background.
