LA Dubstep youngster Patrick Reza is back at it again with another solid remix. You should be familiar with Patrick’s work at this point, as we tend to post his it pretty frequently. His style is smooth and fluid, combining wobbles that blend beautifully with the indie song he’s remixing.
In this remix, Patrick has left the soft and delicate essence of Julia Stone’s voice in tact, while adding his own unique style at the same time. It’s tastefully done, and extremely enjoyable.

Fans of The Music Ninja know PatrickReza very well. The 19 year old original/remix Dubstep producer from Los Angeles, California has hijacked the top charts of hypem numerous time with his delicately crafted remixes. There are american producers that have gone the full brostep route, and there are others who still remain purist to the genre. PatrickReza is right in the middle and sometimes we don’t even know where he is. It is his eclecticism in dubstep that makes him one of the most exciting upcoming producers. He is able to take from many influences to create his own sound including his latest release, “Until We Bleed” by Swedish producer Kleerup featuring the lovely vocals of Lykke Li. “Until We Bleed” is a soft slow burn track that will serve as the perfect ending for night out.
Late last year we came across one of the most wonderful dubstep remixes of Lana Del Ray’s “Blue Jeans” from (at the time) an obscure up and coming producer called PatrickReza. PatrickReza’s enthusiasm for creating powerful well-structured dubstep basslines, along with his attention to melodic detail took us utterly by surprise. What came next, is quite honestly something we will note in Music Ninja History. PatrickReza’s powerful yet-equality-soothing rendition of “Midnight City” by M83 automatically set him apart from the rest. The tasteful build-ups, none overbearing drops and the delicate balance to not cross over onto the brostep world has given his music immunity in the dubstep scene, with only 18 years old.
This brings us to what you have seen (or are about to see) at the very top of this post. New York/San Francisco-based content creation/production company Bodega director Jimmy Diebold has teamed up with PatrickReza to match “Midnight City” with the visuals it deserves. Between each beat and every wobble, they light up the Seattle night paying tribute to the Seattle Seahawks and their home stadium. Diebold explains, “I wanted to create a piece that was an architectural appreciation and provided a sense of place, but also captured the raw energy and excitement of what happens there.” An interesting marriage between lights and music makes the Seattle stadium come alive in this midnight city.
The latest installment from our good friend PatrickReza comes in a slightly different package than usual. The young, Los Angeles based producer is known for his gritty wobbles over the most trending indie songs. He’s still working over a huge indie artist’s track, only this time, it sounds a little different.
Reza said that after listening to Chillstep producer Minnesota, he found a new inspiration, and looked at this remix in a whole different light. Using Sia’s dreamy voice and the classic piano work, Patrick has infused some fuzzy beats, but then really dialed up the synths around it. What is the result? An absolutely beautifully produced track. Is it hard? Hell no. But it doesn’t need to be. It carries it’s weight in melodic delight.
When it comes to making great music, age ain’t nothin’ but a number. Indeed, if an artist’s productions are on point it can be a marked advantage to be young in this industry. A veritable army of vibrant young producers are storming to the front lines as they disregard stereo types and rules of engagement. One of our favorite freshmen dubstep artists is Patrick Reza from the city of angels. With his intricate drum patterns, broken uplifters and natural sensibility for morphing dubstep archetypes into unique combinations this 18 year old producer has got the touch. Just give a listen to his first major label release of “Two Way Street” by Kimbra and you’ll see why. Available for free download on his Facebook page at this link: PatrickReza Facebook
We’re stoked to bring you another exclusive from the young L.A. born producer, PatrickReza. This time he’s decided to remix SBTRKT’s song “Wildfire” off of their recently released cd. Patrick does a great job of letting the track maintain it’s original feel, but by adding a some new new percussion, wobbly synth, and a little grit, it becomes something entirely different.

Back again with another remix is PatrickReza. This time the young California producer has laid his signature style all over this Adele track. His electric and gritty sounding synths compliment Adele’s soulful voice, which results in a well composed remix of an already stellar track.
If you like this remix, make sure to check out his others. PatrickReza is dropping tracks every couple of weeks, and they’re usually free.
