Linkin Park‘s LIVING THINGS was a pretty underrated album, even among the band’s hardcore fans. Luckily for us, LP will be breathing new life into the project through the release of RECHARGED later this month. Similar to their Reanimation collection released 11 years ago, RECHARGED will include a collection of remixes of many of the album’s standout tracks, including this one by DJ Vice, featuring Pusha T. Vice substitutes the original’s guitar chords with a fresh, uptempo electronic backdrop complete with snares that make it ripe for a killer versa from Pusha. Check out the track above, and make sure to pre-order a copy of RECHARGED before it hits shelves on October 29th, to snag yourself a bonus remix of “Burn It Down” by Paul van Dyk.

Virginia native and G.O.O.D. Music emcee Pusha T has had an interesting journey in the rap game. From reaching global success as half of Clipse, to relatively going ghost, and then resurfacing over the past few years with some heat, it was only a matter of time before he got his chance to shine. As fans patiently wait for his debut solo project to drop, Pusha avoids the possibility of having his highly-anticipated LP leaking and delivers a full stream via Myspace.

Bringing in features from fellow VA artist Chris Brown, Rick Ross, The-Dream, Jeezy, Future, Kelly Rowland, Kendrick Lamar, and 2 Chainz, plus production from Pharrell, Swizz Beatz, Joaquin Phoenix, and Don Cannon My Name Is My Name promises to be ‘hip-hop album of the year’. While Jay-Z and Kanye West are supposed to be watching the throne, Pusha T seems primed and ready to snatch it out from right underneath them (that’s if Kendrick doesn’t get there first, of course). The coup might not be very subtle however, as Push’s latest effort was produced by Yeezy himself, along with Joaquin Phoenix (before you ask, yes, there’s only one Joaquin Phoenix, and it’s that dude from Gladiator). Unsurprisingly, the Virginia native is ruthless on the mic as he marches along to a banging instrumental full of powerful snares and ominous vocal samples. Check out the dope visuals for the intro from Pusha’s My Name Is My Name below, and make sure to grab yourself a copy before it hits shelves on October 8th. How do you go about dethroning Drake and Jay-Z? Well a good place to start would be with another high profile collaboration, this time between two of the most talented lyricists in the game, Pusha T and Kendrick Lamar. Premiered by DJ Funk Flex, the highly anticipated single features the bicoastal duo taking center stage over a rather sparse guitar driven beat. The minimalistic nature of the Nottz produced instrumental fits right in with previous singles released earlier this year, like “Numbers On The Board” and “Who I Am.” Check out the single above (with tags for now) and be on the lookout for My Name Is My Name, set to finally drop on October 8th.

King Chip, formerly known as Chip tha Ripper, has always been a ninja favorite for his unique brand of smooth, laid-back raps. When you add his fellow Cleveland native, Kid Cudi, to the picture the outcome never fails to be dope. On a standout from Chip’s latest mixtape, 44108, the dynamic duo, and Wicked Awesome labelmates, team up with G.O.O.D. Music’s man of the hour Pusha T for a refreshingly original track.

On “Vortex,” Cudi and Dot da Genius (aka WZRD) team up for a psychedelic, guitar and piano-laden beat setting the tone perfectly for a song about a dangerous love interest. Cudder creates one of his trademark hooks taking his vocals up an octave from what we’re used to. Pusha T continues his relentless streak of vicious bars and King Chip continues the maturation of his style delivering with the confidence of a vet.

For awhile it seemed as if Virginia native Pusha T‘s solo debut was destined to be placed into the Detox category of non-existent release dates. Fortunately for fans, not only is there a date set for the much-anticipated release, but we also have the lead single in ‘Sweet Serenade’. Swizz Beatz sets a dark, moody tone for Pusha to spit over while fellow VA artist Chris Brown creates a catchy hook. The full length My Name is My Name will drop on October 8th.
