The new single “Mercy” from Kanye West’s upcoming G.O.O.D. LP released sometime last week and we are already receiving a ton of remixes of the track. However, no other current remix really accentuates the original as this slow and gritty dubstep version from Kansas City Dj/producing duo Barbaric Merits . A simplistic approach to dubstep emphasizing in deep bass lines and letting vocals carry the track through. Enjoy.

“Trouble On My Mind”, the new track by the collaborative efforts of Pusha T and Tyler, The Creator is exactly the kind of genuine gansta rap we need to see more of. A simplistic beat with complex and witty lyricism by both hip/hop artists, showing us that louder and faster doesn’t always translate to more swag. Lil Wayne is set to release his mixtape Sorry for the Wait this Wednesday and yet I feel like Pusha T’s Fear Of God Part 2: Let Us Pray, dropping August 23rd, speaks louder to the new generation of hip/hop fans.

As much as I do not like to focus too much on mainstream music, and as much Kanye has been a huge douche in the past, I really cant come to hating the guy nor his music. With Kanye promising to release a single every friday until Christmas, the blogosphere has been going NUTS over his songs and releases. While I find most of them enjoyable I still do not consider them too post worthy. However… his song ‘Runaway’ has been stuck on my head since I first heard it at the VMA’s. I do not care to much about the sining or the lyrics, but there is something very addicting about that sweet subtle bells and melodies that makes this song such a breeze to listen to. So without further ado, here is yet another Kanye original.
