We’re featuring “BLACKBIRDS”, “TOUR FOR WHAT”, “AFRICAN BEAT (FUTURE)”, and “SIMPLER”. Next up is 20syl with another flawless remix, this time flipping Kendrick Lamar. [Chill] Drake – All Me (Stwo Remix)
All Me (Stwo Remix)
We hope everybody had an enjoyable Christmas break full of wonder and cheer. Even if you didn’t, we’ve got the perfect gift for you right here. In the spirit of the Holidays, French producer Stwo decided to present us with one more incredible remix to wrap up the year. With his edit of Drake‘s “All Me,” Stwo continues to remind us why he’s looked upon as one of the most talented up and coming producers in the game. This might just be his most impressive effort to date, utilizing his R&B sensibilities to completely transform the track into a buttery smooth composition full of mesmerizing keys, glittering strings, and rapid hi-hats. In simpler terms, this is way sweeter than the cookies you had waiting for Santa by the fireplace. Check out the Holiday-themed remix above, and stay tuned for more from Stwo as we turn the page into 2014.
[MP3 Playlist] The Christmas Chill Dojo #2
It’s crazy to think that it’s already been another year since our first Chillmas dojo, but we’re far too preoccupied with kicking back to the amazing music that 2013 has delivered to even care about how time flies. It’s time once again to get festive with our gift to you in another stacked playlist overflowing with presents for your ears. So amidst all the Christmas rush, take some time to treat yourself and chill out. It’s the holiday season after all.
It’s only fitting that we kick things off with one of the biggest stories of 2013, the Hypem Chart climber himself in Kygo. The young Norwegian has certainly made a name for himself this year with a steady stream of brilliant downtempo remixes, and he continues his wave of success with another genius edit. In signature fashion, Kygo elevates the beautiful vocals to float atop his cloud of happiness, with the usual splashes of tropical flavour and infectious bouncing bassline. And while we’re riding that wave of ecstasy, dojo favourites Goldroom are there to continue this feeling with their synth-pop rendition of ‘All Eyes on You” featured last week. You know the deal when it comes to the best of nu-disco acts out there, but there’s nothing like a good sax solo to really seal it. It must really be the silly season, because it’s not often we throw the name Justin Bieber around these parts, but Manila Killa has delivered a Christmas gift that is well worth a bite. He has certainly worked his magic on this flip, because this lush mix will actually make you swallow your pride and jam out to Biebz like an obsessed pre-teen. Just roll with it, we won’t judge. There’s definitely no conflict in pumping some Lindsay Lowend though, and the next level production in ‘Basement Dweller Overture’ is like a journey through sound. Prepare yourself for what comes at the 2 minute mark, because it may just rock your world. Stwo was another revelation in 2013, and the master beatmaker has been nonstop all year. It’s poetic that we have another smooth remix to get lost in before the year is up. And so cues the mellow part of the playlist, with Belgium’s WiSkiM to carry us away with an ambient masterpiece, layered with gorgeous sampling of Ellie Goulding.
That wraps up another incredible year of music, and there’s no doubt that 2014 will only deliver more creativity that will further blow our minds. In true chill fashion, the dojo will be taking a little break for a while to relax and refresh for everything the new year brings. Until then, keep it cool over these holidays. Peace out.
Sunday Night Soul [Vol. 6]
Hope your chestnuts are roasting over an open fire, because tis the season to be soulful (or something to that effect). Here at The Music Ninja, we’ve really gotten into the spirit of the Holidays. While none of these tracks are explicitly Christmas themed, we believe we have the right mix here to keep your spirits up and your hearts warm. From remixes of classics by Alicia Keys, Lloyd, and Drake, to new melodies by artists like Tom Misch, The Internet, Blackbear, T. Mills, and Py, there’s enough stocking stuffers here to keep everyone in the family happy. So gather around the tree, take a seat in a comfy pair of pajamas, and hold that mistletoe steady, because we hope this edition of Sunday Night Soul is one of the best gifts you unwrap all week (we think Santa would be very proud.)

Not a week goes by when we’re not talking about the young French beatmaker stwo, but that really can’t be helped considering the consistent fire he produces on a regular basis. This time he works his magic with the sultry vocals of JMSN, and the result is an irresistable slow jam that you need to hear. Forget the wine and candles, next time you’re with that special someone, this is all you’ll need to set the mood right. And while we’re on the subject, let’s direct our attention back to this recent feature of Kygo’s take on ‘Sexual Healing’. By now you should be well aware of our love for the Norwegian’s tropical transformations, and it seems even this Marvin Gaye classic can be dancefloor-ready under his signature style. German duo Gamper & Dadoni are no strangers to a dancefloor hit either, and their smooth rework of Claptone’s ‘No Eyes’ is sure to set many alight all over the globe. The deep house groove together with that sexy sax is an infectious combination for sure, adding a freshness which has become the staple of this pair’s production. Wayward ensures the vibes keep flowing with a super catchy remix of ‘Run’, providing a warm spin on the emotional original courtesy of those stunning keys. There’s plenty more beats where that came from though, with Moods at his very best once again with another late night jam, and Pomo hitting us with a new original which will take over your body and induce uncontrollable groovin. And just in case you missed it, we end with a throwback to Dinner Date’s premiere on the site last week with his remix of Angus & Julia Stone. Even if you didn’t, it was always a sure-fire addition to the dojo and definitely worth hearing again.
That’s the playlist as we see it for another week. Enjoy it in any way you please. Peace out.

It’s the same old story. You tell yourself this weekend you’re going to take it easy and catch up on some rest, but Monday comes around and you’ve had even less sleep than the working days before it. Don’t despair though, cos even though the weekend may have come and gone, we can still ease you into the week in the best way possible. Who said chilling out was just for the weekend anyway?
With their summer quickly approaching, Australian producers have been the subject of many Chill dojo write-ups recently, and Sydney’s Hayden James is continuing that trend with a standout remix of ‘Without You’ that has plenty of bloggers talking. The gentle builds and atmospheric pads make this the perfect track for early morning listening, and the integration of the piano provides a touch of melancholy to the haunting vocals. Now if you didn’t think it was possible for Stwo’s ‘Virgo’ to get any sexier, Jarreau Vandal has flipped this attitude on its head with a downright irresistible rework that will have you at the mercy of the beat and hypnotic snare rolls. An eargasm in the truest sense of the word, just sit down and listen, this song will do the rest. Long time listeners of the Chill Dojo should be familiar with jazzy hip hop flavour of Germany’s FloFilz, but his latest rework of classic ATCQ is sure to get people’s attention. His production on this track has undergone the care that an artisan would take on an antique, and the result is a vintage sound that could have been plucked right out of the nineties. Over 15 years on and it still hasn’t lost its freshness. This next feature only took a minute to rack up hundreds of thousands of plays on Soundcloud, but with the big names involved it’s not hard to see why. ‘Together’ brings a whole host of lyrical and producing talent into one package, and the result truly speaks for itself. If you somehow missed this one a few days ago, you mustn’t keep yourself in the dark any longer. It’s been far too long since our last dose of FKJ freshness, but our yearning has come to an end with a stunning remix of the smooth Cherokee original. The song’s opening treats us to a gorgeous downtempo treatment of the vocals before the funky Frenchman hits his stride with the signature style in what has to be his most intricate piece of work to date. If you still can’t get enough, we’re following up with another beautiful interpretation courtesy of the UK’s T.H.I.E.F.S, who brings us into the realm of super chill house. The Hypem charts have quickly fallen in love with another Aussie in Thomas Jack, so we definitely couldn’t pass up highlighting this recent post of this tropical jam. With plenty of classical influence, this music has an authentic charm that can’t help but make you smile.
So here’s hoping this week will be as easy on you as this playlist is for your ears. Peace out.
