The FatRat is a blog hero, everyone loves this guy. Whether he is remixing Chris Brown or Avicii he always kills it. His most recent remix is no different, tackling the newest single from The Knocks, “The Feeling” and propelling into dance floor heaven. His sound design on this one is similar to previous remixes with an indie dance/electro house feel to it with uplifting synths and an infectious melody. We featured the original track, “The Feeling” so im stoked that The FatRat nailed this remix. Just the right amount of remixing on this one, and just in time for the weekend. Cheers.
[Electronic] The Knocks – The Feeling + The Sound Of Arrows – Wonders (The Knocks Remix)
If these two tracks don’t put a smile on your face, there is no hope. The Knocks deliver an official single single titled “The Feeling”, bringing another disco infused dance floor anthem. This is a track that can definitely hang with their previous anthems such as, “Brightside” and “Dancing With The DJ”, this one is going to be remixed by everyone and their mom. The vocals in this mesh perfectly with the upbeat tempo that The Knocks execute with every release. This next track is a remix they dropped a couple of days ago of The Sound Of Arrows track “Wonders”. I honestly don’t know which of these tracks I like more because once again there’s perfect vocal editing accompanied by nothing but baby-making synths and leads. Now these two tracks are all you should need to get you through your Thursday and have you raging all weekend. Cheers.
The Knocks & Fred Falke – Geronimo (Lenno Remix)
Nearing the top 10 tracks on Beatport’s Indie Dance/Nu Disco chart earlier this week was 17-year-young Lenno’s remix of The Knocks and Fred Falke’s ‘Geronimo’ which landed a spot at #12. The young dj/producer from Finland has been recognized for groovy, upbeat remixes including his collab with Jesse Oliver for Miami Horror’s ‘Holidays’ and B.o.B’s ‘Nothin’ on You’. This new track, much like the others, is nothing less than awesome. It has a chill enough beat to blast during a day drive down to the beach and disco-resonating vibe that would want to get you out on the dance floor. Simply put – a track worth putting on repeat.
[House] The Knocks X Fred Falke – Geronimo (Louis La Roche Remix)
Annie Mac dropped this gem on BBC Radio 1 yesterday, and it’s been on repeat since. A ridiculous Remix of The Knocks and Fred Falke’s track “Geronimo.” With a nearly flawless intro featuring vocal editing that sounds like a robot that smoked way to many cigs last night. As if it couldn’t get any better Louis La Roche drops into a killer melody bringing monster synths that hit at all the right times. This EP is gonna be massive, featuring “Geronimo” plus remixes from Lenno, Aylen, and this banger from Louis La Roche. Stay tuned for more coverage! Cheers.
[Dance/Funk/Electronic] Santigold – The Keepers (The Knocks Remix)
The time is upon us where our migratory patterns tell us to gravitate towards local watering holes, shed our layers and don our shiniest frocks. With that being said, every sunny occasion deserves an anthem and funky electronic duo, The Knocks give us the dose of dance we need to cure our itchy feet.
The track soothingly begins with a ringing xylophone before a funky bass line leads in Santigold’s first verse. If by this time you haven’t surprisingly caught your toe tapping, then holy french toast how much did you drink last night? Have no fear, the acapella chorus you’re about to hear will drop into a shoulder swaying soiree of gritty bass, synths and echoing vocal samples that are sure enough to keep your heart rate high and your spirits elevated. This tune is well suited for any day party celebration you’re sure to encounter. Please, dance responsibly.
Enjoy your summer and be sure to catch The Knocks on tour with Dragonette this September.
