[Electronic] Dabin – Lilith feat. APASHE & Madi

Dabin
Lilith (feat. Apashe & Madi)

What do you get when you mix Dabin, APASHE, and Madi into one beautifully written track? A melodic and mind bending sensory overload capable of tearing us in three different, but very welcome, directions. Released as the second single off of Kannibalen Records artist Dabin’s album, Two Hearts, the triad of sounds that is “Lilith” melds together the sweet vocals of Madi, Dabin’s delectable instrumental melodies and the well-known hard hitting bass of APASHE. While the track starts out smooth we’re soon catapulted into a heavy drop of synthy bass giving “Lilith” a pleasant and unexpected twist. Two Hearts is set for release on March 31st, however pre-order is currently available on iTunes. If you go ahead and pre-order, you get the single early!

[Electronic] Afrojack – Used to Have it All (Dirty Audio Remix)

We may have already featured this in our new Spotify playlist, Back that Bass Up, but Dirty Audio’s sock game isn’t the only thing that strong. His recent releases have been straight fire and his official remix to Afrojack’s “Used To Have It All” is no exception. This groovy house vibe gets a signature make-over from the LA producer known for indulging in lots of coffee, stabbing synths, and hard drops. The elegant vocals are still present, but this flip gives the track a whole new club and festival ready vibe that we’re sure to see all summer. You can buy and stream this latest release here.

[Electronic] BLVK SHEEP – Run feat. Tima Dee & Giant Spirit

Blvk Sheep
Run (feat. Tima Dee & Giant Spirit)

So far 2017 has shown us that a producer’s main goal is to toy with our emotions. We’ve seen vocalists incorporate lyrics that give us something to relate to and the melodies that accompany these lyrics are capable of inducing the same emotions regardless if the lyrics are there or not. BLVK SHEEP’s last release from his Mind EP, “Run” incorporates a vibrant and raw combination of vocals from Tima Dee and a surprising and very welcome riff of guitar chords from Giant Spirit, combining multiple sounds that leave us wanting more from this budding producer. The energy in this hybrid trap track is potent throughout, yet still leaves room for the emotionally laden lyrics from Tima. Waiting On Your Call (feat. Park Avenue)

We’re giving Anevo’s latest release, “Waiting On Your Call,” on Monstercat a 10/10. Anevo’s melody paired with Park Avenue’s emotional vocals have created a whirlwind of feelings poised to make it to top radio charts. The track masterfully brings the listener into a trance of past memories and romantic relationships but Anevo does a great job of excluding a depressing vibe and keeping the track light even though the lyrics are ridden with emotional pain.

This Swedish producer has been toying with our heartstrings the past couple releases but proves his ability to be versatile when it comes to his productions. Want this track for yourself? Stream or buy it here.

[House] The Aston Shuffle – Pass You By

Potion
The Aston Shuffle : "Pass You By"

One of our favorite Potion label artists, The Aston Shuffle, is back again with a new original that will get your feet moving and your body grooving. Smooth vocals on top of a heavy house groove, bouncy melody, and bass line makes “Pass By You” a radio and club dance floor ready track. Miami Music Week and festival season are upon us and this release is perfect for both. The track screams get on your feet and move, which isn’t surprising coming from this duo.

In addition with the release, The Aston Shuffle are also giving us their 3rd edition of Only 100s, a series which is dedicated to Vance and Mikah’s top selections of the month. Their mix of selections range from Tchami’s new “Adieu” to Disco-house inspired “Cloudbusting” by New York duo, Just Us. [House] MALAA – BYLINA

MALAA
BYLINA

“Oh shit,” were the first words that came to mind when MALAA’s “BYLINA” was dropped in my inbox. Coming off his upcoming ‘Illegal Mixtape’ Bylina is a Russian term that roughly translates to an epic narrative often kept alive through oral tradition and the track perfectly embeds a vocal narrative and MALAA’s signature G-house sound.

This latest impression keeps a classic element and cascades into, no better way to describe it, a very dark and dirty drop. Elements of cinematic and funk are woven into this house melody giving MALAA fans another poignant taste of the talent that resides on the Confessions label. The vocals work into an agreeable narrative calling House Music “a healer, and something that picks you up when you’re feeling down.” We’re thinking this track is going to make it to the forefront of festival season and if you find MALAA on a lineup make sure to catch him because this track has us moving in our chairs so we can only imagine what it’ll do to us live. [Future Bass] Magnifico & Taptone – Sonata

Magnifico & Taptone
Sonata

Future bass meets dance, meets instrumentals, meets bouncy synths; Magnifico and Taptone’s “Sonata” released on Lowly Palace, has taken a bit everything and melded it together into a dramatic production that we’re 100% on board with.

Upon pressing play the track builds into a climactic drop laden with the all familiar sound of trumpets, an instrument that adds a positive flair in so many great productions. This infectious track delves into an unexpected moment of a smoother melody where, yet again, an instrumental is featured, this time luscious piano chords slowing everything down before reviving into the upbeat dance track. The back and forth between this fluttering heartbeat of a track leaves us feeling satisfied but ready for more. Ups and downs may be hard in life, but in music they’re a welcome distraction. “Sonata” is available as a free download.
