SevnthWonder – Drift (Feat. Capsun) [TMN PREMIERE]

SevnthWonder
Drift (ft. CAPSUN)

As a producer, SevnthWonder reaches levels of consistency most other artists would be envious of. Considering the steady volume of material he churns out, it’s almost amazing that he’s constantly able to maintain such high standards of quality. His latest collaboration with CAPSUN, “Drift”, is no different. The future bass ditty is profound in its simplicity, as the Boston native creates a lush yet serene soundscape that’ll most assuredly cause all your worries to melt away. If magic carpets did exist–which, let’s be honest, would be pretty sweet–then you have to imagine this would be one of the first tracks on your playlist as you cruise around the world.

“Drift” is the latest single to be released as part of Hebinomichi‘s Vol. 3 compilation, which is currently rolling out daily track releases until the end of November. The 15 track compilation is comprised of original content from the collective’s expansive roster of talented artists and spans across a wide array of genres. Vol. 3 is also set to be a surrealist audio-visual exhibition, accompanied by a series of futuristic visual interpretations by artist Trent Kuhn who took inspiration from the songs themselves as well as images he saw during the Nepal earthquake disaster to create custom imagery for each individual tune. After hearing the full EP for ourselves, trust us when we say the project–which includes appearances from StéLouse, Maxx Baer, Tasty Treat, TIGERBLOOD and even more–is definitely one of the most creative releases from the collective yet. Stay tuned to their SoundCloud channel for the rest of the month to make sure you get your hands on all the goodies.

Khary – Ambidextrous (Lege Kale Remix) [TMN PREMIERE]

Khary
Ambidextrous (Lege Kale Remix)

Rhode Island native Khary‘s lyrical dexterity has never been called into question, but if there’s one thing he has over his competitors it’s his ability to adapt to any set of circumstances, as proven on his most recent single “Ambidextrous”. Sticking with that theme, this brand new remix from Lege Kale switches things up considerably, screwing up the vocals and laying them atop a bass boosted instrumental complimented by some lilting guitar rifts. It makes for a clever, yet fun reinterpretation of the original, though hopefully not the last, as the Swim Team captain has released the a capella for any audacious young producers out there looking to create their own renditions of the tune.

“Ambidextrous” serves as the first single from Khary’s upcoming project intern aquarium, which will be available sometime in 2016; in the meantime you can check out the official visuals for the track below. Also, if you’d like to hear what else Lege Kale has to offer, make sure to follow him on SoundCloud, where you can find even more dope remixes along with some original material as well.

[Hip-Hop] Jazz Cartier – Stick and Move

Jazz Cartier
Stick and Move

We’ve been patiently waiting for some new material from Hip-Hop Dojo Spotlight Artist Jazz Cartier since the release of his stellar debut mixtape Marauding In Paradise back in April. The man also known as Jacuzzi La Fleur picks up right where he left off, crafting a certifiable banger with “Stick and Move”. The Toronto based emcee has seen his star steadily rise over the last year, joining the ranks of other talented up-and-comers from his native city like Tory Lanez and JAHKOY. He hopes to carry that momentum with him through 2016 as he plans his follow-up to Marauding In Paradise. This is certainly a step in the right direction.

[Event Preview] TDE Presents: 1st Annual Kunta’s Groove Sessions – 11/5 @ Riviera Theatre, Chicago

Kendrick Lamar sent the internet into a frenzy last month with the initial announcement of his Kunta’s Groove Sessions tour via Instagram, with a caption that simply stated “8 cities. 8 nights, 8 intimate shows.” Since then, fans throughout the country have scrambled to get their hands on tickets which have sold out in mere minutes after going online. Prices on the secondary market have skyrocketed, especially in New York, where the cheapest available ticket at one point was $563 before they switched venues from Webster Hall to Terminal 5 according to Rukkus. Thankfully, the same has taken place here in Chicago, as the show has been moved from Concord Music Hall to the Riviera Theatre, providing a second chance to those of us that missed out the first time around.

In case you’ve been living under a rock, the excitement for the tour stems from the release of Kendrick’s landmark sophomore album, To Pimp A Butterfly, which received plenty of critical and commercial acclaim. Since its release, fans have been clamoring for a chance to see Kendrick perform live along with his band The Wesley Theory. Opening up the tour is labelmate Jay Rock, who is fresh off the release off his own album, 90059, which features standout singles like “Money Trees Deuce” and “Vice City”.

Head over to the link below to grab yourself some passes before they sell out again for good, and if you’re not in Chicago make sure to check out the remaining dates on the tour.

Still Got It

After making some waves with their single “Gettin Throwed” early in the summer, Two Fresh have returned with Joey Purp once again to prove that they “Still Got It”, this time bringing Vic Mensa along for the ride. Purp takes the lead on this one, racking up a couple of poignant punchlines while Vic handles the chorus and closes things out with some impressive bars of his own. This latest collaboration comes on the heels of the Nashville based twins’ latest EP, Torch, which is out today via Mad Decent and features additional appearances from Njomza, Curtis Williams and Jace of Two-9. The track is available for free download, but make sure to grab yourself a copy of the EP as well.

[R&B/Hip-Hop] Snakehips – All My Friends (Feat. Tinashe & Chance The Rapper)

SNAKEHIPS
All My Friends (Ft. Tinashe & Chance The Rapper)

Snakehips have been making waves over the past couple of years, establishing themselves as one of the most talented production duos to emerge from the UK through a steady stream of fantastic remixes as well as some incredible original content that includes collaborations with Tory Lanez, Sinead Harnett and Kaleem Taylor. Their latest outing however has all the right ingredients to make for a surefire hit, as they’ve landed possibly the biggest features of their careers thus far in Tinashe and Chance The Rapper for a new song called “All My Friends”. Snakehips are no strangers to crafting catchy hooks, yet “All My Friends” might be their most easily accessible tune to date, featuring an exceptionally relatable chorus that’s bound to echo throughout your brain for at least a few moments after the song has ended. We expect this to become the ultimate anthem during those late Saturday nights out on the town just as everyone prepares to pack up and head home. You can stream the track above, but make sure to snag yourself a copy on iTunes as well.
