[NEW] Mary J. Blige – Follow (Prod. Disclosure)

Mary J. Blige / Disclosure
Follow

Legendary pop diva Mary J. Blige and UK production duo Disclosure have quickly become the best of friends, collaborating on a number of tracks in 2014. The partnership blossomed earlier this year when the three teamed up for a a remix of “F For You” from the pair’s debut album, Settle, and later solidified when they came together again for “Right Now.” Co-written by Jimmy Napes,  “Follow” is now the third collab between the talented trio, and if their previous dalliances are any indication of what to expect, this one is bound to blow you away once more. Mary’s upcoming album, The London Sessions, is set to release next week on November 24th, and will also include features from Emeli Sandé, Naughty Boy, Sam Smith and Sam Romans. You can pre-order your copy on iTunes now.

[NEW] Eminem – Detroit Vs. Everybody (Feat. Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Dej Loaf & Trick Trick) (Prod. Statik Selektah)

Eminem, Royce, Big Sean, Danny Brown
Detroit Vs Everybody Shade 45 Rip (prod. by Statik Selektah)

In a major move that almost nobody saw coming, Eminem assembles a few of Detroit’s finest to form a monster collaboration that pits the city’s top dogs against the rest of the rap game. This is a team up that fans have been pining after for awhile, and it’s great to see all of these Motor City natives assembled together under one roof. Featuring some heavy hitters like Royce Da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown and Dej Loaf, this absolute banger finds each emcee in top form as they trade indelible bars over a stadium worthy Statik Selektah instrumental. We won’t make a judgment on who murdered their verse the hardest, but it’s definitely closer than you might expect.

It’s only appropriate that the track would be featured on Marshall’s upcoming Shady XV compilation project, dropping later this month on November 24th. Those interested in copping this single before that date can pre-order the project on iTunes now. And if you haven’t had enough Eminem, check out the “SHADY CXVPHER” he released earlier today that features Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf, after the jump.

[Hip-Hop/R&B] Tory Lanez – Dem Ones

Tory Lanez
DEM ONES (PROD. SARAH J + TORY LANEZ)

After dropping one of the best mixtapes of the year to start the month, Toronto native Tory Lanez has retuned to the scene, reviving his Fargo Fridays series on Halloween. This is definitely one hell of a treat, as Tory picks up right where he left off on Lost Cause,  flashing his brilliance behind the mic while simultaneously handling production duties as well. “Dem Ones” is as “swavey” a cut as any, and it doesn’t appear like the young talent plans on slowing things down anytime soon. Listen to the track above, and if you haven’t had a chance yet to check out Lost Cause, make sure to do so ASAP.

[NEW] Drake – Heat Of The Moment (Prod. by 40) + 6 God (Prod. by Boi-1da & Syk Sense) + How Bout Now (Prod. by Boi-1da & Jordan Evans)

We probably should have seen this coming, right? With yesterday being Drake‘s birthday, October’s Very Own decided to celebrate by sharing a preview of what he’s been cooking up in preparation for his next album, Views From The 6.  The three new tracks, “6 God,” “Heat Of The Moment,” and “How Bout Now,” (which you may remember first leaked earlier this week) seem to be related to Aubrey’s upcoming project, but there’s no confirmation of their origins. The accompanying artwork (above) does seem to imply there is a connection though.

The 28 year old emcee spared no expense with his shiny new gifts. Each single represents a different flavor of Drizzy; so whether you prefer his bombastic, “no-fucks given” attitude, or his more mellow, lo-fi, seductive sound, he’s got you covered. Stream all three tracks above, and make sure to download the free offerings as well. Expect to hear more from Drake’s View From The 6 as he readies the album for release next year.

[Soul] Lion Babe – Jump Hi (Feat. Childish Gambino)

LION BABE
Jump Hi (ft. Childish Gambino)

After releasing their first single, “Treat Me Like Fire” early last year, Lion Babe has finally resurfaced with a brand new track featuring Childish Gambino. The New York based duo–consisting of vocalist Jillian Hervey and producer Lucas Goodman–come through with an impressive second effort here, delivering a bubbly new number that’s guaranteed to please. Goodman puts a sample of Nina Simone‘s “Mr. Bojangles” to good use here, crafting a skittering, soulful instrumental that allows Hervey’s pipes to flourish, while Bino takes command in the final minute to provide some prolific and eloquent worldplay. As the name implies, “Jump Hi” is the type of tune that’ll make you want to get up off of your feet and get active. If you enjoyed this one, make sure to also check out the recent remix of “Treat Me Like Fire” that Snakehips dropped over the weekend.

[Hip-Hop] Mac Miller – Just Some Raps, Nothing To See Here, Move Along

Mac Miller
Just Some Raps, Nothing To See Here, Move Along

After signing his first major deal with Warner Bros. earlier today, Mac Miller decided to share a brand new track with his fans in order to celebrate. Miller had been operating independently since his deal with Pittsburgh based Rostrum Records expired earlier this year, but now all future releases from Mac’s own imprint, REMember Music, will be released through Warner Bros. The talented emcee had this to say about the deal, telling The Fader,

“Warner is the most independent thinking company I met with. It is a partnership and now I can focus on building my label Remember through music and let them handle everything I don’t like doing. Nothing will change in how I do things.”
The sarcastically titled track accompanying the announcement, “Just Some Raps, Nothing To See Here, Move Along,” features the gifted wordsmith doing what he does best, as he lays down some indelible bars over slick production provided by SAP. The song itself is rather short, clocking in at a little over two minutes, but it serves as small preview of what to expect from this new deal.

[NEW] Drake – How About Now

Drake
How About Now

Earlier today, a teenager from Marietta, Georgia managed to get his hands on a copy of a Drake song titled “How About Now,” and uploaded it to his personal SoundCloud. Though it’s still unclear how he obtained a copy of the tune, everything about it appears to be authentic. As expected, details surrounding the track are still murky, but the kid claims the song belongs to Drake’s upcoming album, Views From The 6. However, others are speculating that it might be a leftover from Nothing Was The Same.

Building off of a sample of Jodeci‘s hit “My Heart Belongs To You,” this new leak finds Drizzy lamenting to an old flame about her lack of support for his career back in his early days, while asking how she feels about him now that he’s made it big. The track also features a cameo from Nicki Minaj who plays the part of the ex leaving a voicemail at the beginning of the song. If it is in fact unreleased, our guess is issues with sample clearances prevented this from seeing the light of day. Either way, enjoy the tune above, and keep on the lookout for some official releases from Aubrey in the near future.
