Each and every morning, most of us struggle to get past the dreaded snooze button that seems to make us even more inclined to stay in bed all day and avoid our responsibilities. If it weren’t for the sweet, sweet smell of coffee that lingers from the freshly brewed pot in the kitchen all the way into our noses, we wouldn’t be able to function accordingly. Well ninjas, it turns out that we might have hit a double whammy this morning because we definitely just slept past our 5th wake-up call and ran out of coffee. It may not be our lucky day so far, but we have the ultimate pick-me-up from TMN regular, Televisor, and their kick ass new remix to give us that much needed high without all the side effects…or the calories.

Since falling in love with their last original piece, “Neon”, we couldn’t help fall captive to their spunky beats and their natural retrograde flow back into the era of big hair and 80’s synths. Now that 2 months have passed, the Disco duo are back again and hotter than ever before with their latest remix of Golden Coast’s fun new track, “Dream And An MPC”. Blending together a lot of Indie and Disco elements, Televisor turns this Golden Coast original into a funky, fiery, fresh rendition that will instantly suck you in at first play. There is something truly beautiful about today, everyone, and despite the 100 degree weather we are currently sitting through at 7: 45 in the evening, we have found comfort in this disgusting heat. Helping us find solace in the midst of our dripping sweat is Brooklyn duo, Ella Zoller and Gabriel Stanley (who collectively make up the band PROM). These two surprised us all and left us without words after stumbling upon their newly released song, “Flickers” (produced by Dave Weingarten). Bursting with vibrant instrumentals, spine-tingling melodies, powerful percussive elements, and a ying and yang effect to balance out Ella and Gabriel’s stunning vocals, “Flickers” is an enchanting piece of art that is bound to make you smile from ear to ear. PROM took an impressive leap into some of the most cutting and rewarding subgenres of electro-pop to which these two create a divine synchronicity within their harmonies.

“Flickers” essentially left us without words and we presume you might endure the same response. So prepare your heart to conduct a symphony for your mind and let these beautiful frequencies take you to new heights.

This past weekend, we partook in our first ever TMN Blog-a-thon; we searched long and hard to bring you some of the most underrated talent out there and ultimately went above and beyond our own expectations. Not only did we come out on top with over 120 posts in 3 days, but we stayed true to our dojo mantra and found some of the best music out in the world today. After exhausting our creative writing resources for days on end, we found an extra few ounces of juice left to share the latest from TMN Tropical House favorite, Bearson.

The Norwegian sensation blew us all away in his last remix of astronomyy’s, “Nothin’ On My Mind”; since then, Bearson has been working vigorously to bring us something that will leave us astounded like never before. Well ninjas, the wait is over because Bearson just took his music to a level no one can compete with in his latest remix of The Lighthouse and the Whaler’s throwback hit, “Venice”. If ever there was a time where listening to a song in full was absolutely necessary, it’s today. Full of cheerful melodies, flawless percussion, and a stunning vocal that takes us soaring above the clouds, Bearson has officially outdone himself yet again, and we can’t seem to figure out how this young producer is capable of producing such excellence. You know your music stands for something when you get the official approval from Diplo, himself. Since hitting this milestone as an artist, Hunt for the Breeze, has drawn in listeners and support from all around. Almost 2 weeks ago, HFTB dropped his latest original, “Aquanaut”, and sent us into hi-hat solo heaven. With no team helping push this song, the D.C. producer decided to casually upload “Aquanaut” on a Saturday night…turn down for what, right? In little to no time, HFTB instantly captured our attention in this lucid, underwater, dream-like original.
