[Progressive/Future Bass] Cazzette – Sleepless (Prince Fox & Jenaux Remix)

Cazzette
Sleepless (Prince Fox & Jenaux Remix)

Whenever we come across artists who continuously blow our minds with their uncanny abilities to create some of the most feel good music out there, we can’t help but fan-girl when such artists decide to team up and combine their styles of music. A couple of weeks ago, a TMN newbie, Jenaux, and a TMN regular, Prince Fox, surprised us all with a stunning remix of the oh so familiar Cazzette track, “Sleepless”. After obsessing over his Panama Wedding “Uma” remix, we knew that Jenaux’s Progressive House background and Prince Fox’s eclectic style of production would ultimately shut down the internet for the evening. With no surprise at all, these two fused together both Progressive and Future Bass elements to send us soaring in this “Sleepless” remix. Loaded with poppy melodies, uplifting builds, and mainstage worthy breakdowns, Jenaux and Prince Fox could not have made a more perfect team. The response they’ve gotten thus far just means that we need to see them work on more tracks together. *Hint Hint*

[Chill Trap] Miley Cyrus – Adore You (Polar Youth Re-work)

Miley Cyrus
Adore You (Polar Youth refix)

We aren’t sure if posting a Miley Cyrus re-work is a good representation of our taste in music over here at TMN, however, we must point out that some kids sure do know how to flip her songs into something that we can actually enjoy for once. 19-year-old Belgium producer, Polar Youth, gave Miley’s “Adore You” a much needed chill trap tune-up in which she crafts this song into something truly, truly beautiful. With its subtle, tropical ambiance and a heavy 808 to chill us to the bone, Polar Youth flawlessly creates the perfect production to emphasize Miley’s lyrics on a much deeper value. Who would have thought we would be saying these types of things about Miley and her unique behaviors? Lucky for her, it took some girl power to give this song a certain desirability for all of us to enjoy.  While Polar Youth continues taking over this genre, get your free download and adore it until you find yourself in a bear suit taking selfies in the bathroom (we really don’t think that will happen, so don’t worry).

[Vibes] Samuel Truth – Emerald

Samuel Truth
Emerald

Having teamed up with one of the most well-respected collectives, Darker Than Wax, Auckland producer Samuel Truth gives us a taste of the future in his newest original, “Emerald”. Simply pressing play to this gem (pun intended) has us floating in the universe with a bunch of intergalactic species. Samuel Truth gives us every reason to take off in our own little rocket ship and venture off into the vast nothingness ahead of us. “Emerald” fuses together a mixture of genres such as chill/future wave, bass, and trap elements, however, all we can say to describe this song is ‘PURE VIBES’. As vague as that sounds, this soul-enriching original clears the mind, seduces the soul, and allows the body to organically flow without any conscious effort. Darker Than Wax has a solid reputation for a reason and in short, have released a compilation album to celebrate reaching 10k likes on Facebook. Their message to listeners was plain and simple –

“These few months have been truly inspirational; with our movement gaining ground globally, forming new communities in different corners, and interesting opportunities unfolding, it is to say the least, extremely gratifying to know that despite staying pretty much under the radar and not dabble heavily in that PR game, we can still evolve and touch others simply by sticking to our guns – that music should be diverse and expressed in various forms.”

Samuel Truth is just one of many talented artists to be featured on this compilation and “Emerald” just happened to resonate something loud and clear to the ninja fam. Enjoy the rest of the free compilation here and support DTW as well as the rest of the artists!

Future Classic just keeps pumping out music that’s just way ahead of our time (literally). After an incredible response from Seekae‘s last tune, “Test & Recognise”, a remix from the legendary Flume himself, and an incredible interpretation about that remix from our fellow ninja master, Clayton, the young Aussie is becoming an unstoppable force to reckon with. Less than a day ago, the Future Classic rising gem released a haunting new original titled, “Monster” off his new album, The Worry.
