[Tropical House] De Hofnar – Shower (Bootleg)

De Hofnar
Shower (Bootleg)

Well, we have reached that day ninjas…the day where we have to hang up our bathing suits and trade it all in for real clothes because it’s the first day of school (for this ninja, at least) and our Summer is officially over. For those of you who are out of school and don’t really know what the concept of Summer is, well we’re sorry that this day means nothing to you. While you sit there at your 9-5 and we set our alarms to some ambitious hour, just know that in a few months we will understand your pain.

As we prepare for another Monday of monotonous hell, we really need something to wake our spirits and set the tone for our day. We decided to turn to De Hofnar and his latest bootleg of Becky G’s “Shower”. As soon as we heard his version we couldn’t help but feel as if we were driving down Highway 1 with all of our girlfriends and some Starbucks. This Summery, sax-heavy bootleg takes Tropical House to an entirely new level of “FETCH”. Make sure to grab your free download and take these tropical feels with you anywhere and anytime.

[Melodic Trap] Arty – Up All Night (Slander Remix)

Arty
Up All Night (Slander Remix) [OUT 9/9 ON INSOMNIAC RECORDS]

After a wild weekend of hearing all about everyone’s FYF experiences and suffering a serious case of FOMO (Google it), we have been a bit bummed about not attending this years festivities. After all, what’s a festival without a ninja there to turn things up a notch or two? Now that we’ve recovered from such sadness, we have been listening to some tunes to pick our spirits back up; we’ve currently been stuck on the latest track from heaven trap/deep house duo, Slander. The two producers took on an Arty mainstage feeler, “Up All Night” and ultimately sent us to synth heaven with this remix. With this being their first release off Insomniac Records, Slander has proven that they are about to stir up the dance music community and we’re excited to be apart of the mixture.

[TMN PREMIERE] Rae Sremmurd – No Flex Zone (Styles&Complete Remix)

Styles&Complete
No Flex Zone (Styles&Complete Remix)

Sometimes being a ninja can be a little exhausting, however, we never let this creative fatigue get to our heads, ESPECIALLY when we have a track that will undoubtedly make you want to take advantage of Hump Day in the dirtiest way possible. We aren’t here to hit you in the feels, so save the tears for another day and go put your twerking shorts on because we are about to take hyphy to the next level with the latest Styles&Complete remix of Rae Sremmurd’s anthem, “No Flex Zone.” After hearing this festival banger we could not stop flexing – so FAIR WARNING – you will flex and there’s no way you can resist the temptation.

Styles&Complete took this radio hit and threw on some booty bass, some wanky chopped horn synths, and solidified it all with some heavy hitting drums strong enough to punch you in the face. These guys obviously looked this track straight in the eye and said “we are about to violate the shit out of you and people will lose their minds once we’re done,” because this remix just permeated our skin with straight heat. You might need to go stock up on some fire extinguishers or at least go take a shower after exposing your senses to such filth because Stlyes&Complete will make you feel grimey as hell. Overall, this remix certainly met our expectations and in turn we just signed up to take booty bouncing lessons in order to perfect this artistic form of self-expression.

[Melodic House] Hafdis Huld – Lucky (Glastrophobie Remix)

Hafdis Huld
Lucky (Glastrophobie Remix)

It has come to our attention that this may be the Summer of sax and we are in no way complaining about this growing trend. There is nothing sexier than a moving melodic house song with a whole lot of sensual saxophone riffs to take us to paradise. Fairly recently one of TMN’s favorite German producer, Glastrophobie, took the world by his saxy hands in his latest remix of Hafdis Huld’s, “Lucky”. Before we even peeped this song we already knew that we were about to embark on cheerful melodic ride full of powerful chord progressions, tropical guitar melodies, a sexual sax, and so forth. Well ninjas, it turns out our expectations were fully met with his latest tropical gem. Glastrophobie transforms “Lucky” into a chilled out Summer anthem suitable for pool parties, long car rides, or just chillin’ in the backyard with a glass of sangria. So kick back, relax, and let the swooning melodies take you to your private escape.

[Chill] Galimatias – Night Owl

Galimatias
Night Owl

A little over a week ago, Denmark native, Galimatias sent the internet down to the very depths of the ocean floor with his stunning track, “Ocean Floor Kisses.” We definitely felt as if we were caressing each and every groove found in the elusive abyss beneath us after subjecting our ears to such beauty. Just a few moments ago, Galimatias unleashed his latest original stunner, “Night Owl”, in which we were forced to step back for a moment and truly listen to this on an entirely different cognitive level.

“Night Owl” incorporates a multitude of production elements that collectively exude something truly ethereal. With its futuristic jabby synths, haunting reverberated vocals, and eerie chilled out vibe, Galimatias creates a type of darkness for all of us to emerge ourselves into. “Night Owl” delivers with such finesse and delicacy that collectively polish a side of electronic music we’ve yet to fully appreciate. Before you press play, make sure to turn your chill factor up because you’re about to stay up all night with this one.

[TMN PREMIERE] Cazzette – Sleepless (Young Bombs Remix)

Cazzette
Sleepless (Young Bombs Remix)

Ok first things first, ninjas, we need you to go hop in a time machine and set the dial to 2011 because you’re about to take a trip back to a time where Tiesto once made us shed tears of pure progressive feels. We don’t know about you, but we remember when we used to PLUR out before it was the “cool” thing to do. You can just call us the hipsters of dance music.

It appears to us that the emotive value of progressive house has somewhat fallen off the radar over the years. With a surge of new genres making their way to the forefront of electronic music, it’s easy to pinpoint why some categories fade out. Well ninjas, we want to bring you back to those unforgettable moments where the music just seemed to understand you more than anyone else around you. You can’t tell us you’ve never once in your life said “wow – this song just gets me. I don’t think anyone knows how this song makes me feel.” Guilty.

We here at TMN are happy to bring those oh so familiar misunderstood feelings back with the latest progressive feeler from Canadian duo, Young Bombs. Today, Canada’s brightest are unleashing their latest remix of the popular Cazette song, “Sleepless” in which they  “mashed a few genres together including big room, indie, deep house [as well as] some tropical textures to capture a happy, summer feeling.” From the very beginning we are introduced with a cheerful synth melody that intricately progresses into a cry-worthy breakdown full of enough emotion to make that one meathead at the gym take a moment to collect himself. We guarantee you will go on a progressive house binge after hearing this gem so get your free download and add it to the list of songs that make you feel some type of way.
