After one of the longest, most stressful weeks I have ever endured, I can finally make life even more stressful with some intense bangers to prepare you all for the madness of HARD Summer this weekend. This ninja will be banging it out like the rest of you festival-goers the next few days. Last week we had an entire arsenal of straight HEAT…so despite there being 20 rage worthy tracks this week, know that there are some real bangers in this weeks FPP.

So while you get ready to rage the weekend away, this ninja will be preparing for yet another festival – don’t worry – a full report will be coming shortly after the recovery.

What better way to start your Friday off than with a little “Love Sex Magic” remix to get you back into the 2009 groove? Hailing all the way from France is tropical house producer, Axmod; he decided to add his melodic touch on this Ciara and Justin Timberlake classic to which he brought us back to paradise with this one.

As soon as the music starts, you are introduced with a striking synth and a mono animated vocal to drown out the wavey vibes of this ambient tune. [Video Premiere] Crywolf – Eyes Half Closed (Acoustic)

After an overwhelming response from his Angels EP earlier this, Crywolf has definitely showed the world that it’s ok to make music you love and believe in. Now that the world has been introduced to the likes of Crywolf and his emotion-evoking music, he decided to treat his fans with an acoustic music video for his lead single, “Eyes Half Closed”. When he originally sent this to me, I at first thought that the quality of the video wasn’t quite up to par with his actual music, however, once I heard the story it all made sense and I instantly was game to premiere his video here on The Music Ninja.

When it comes to music videos, nearly every single production is thought out and has some sort of chronological order as to how to put every idea together in a tasteful and artistic way. Sometimes artists like to break that chain and go out of their way to create something spontaneous, clever, and captivating – and that is exactly what Crywolf did with his acoustic rendition of “Eyes Half Closed”. The background behind this music video was that Crywolf happened to be messing around on his guitar at home and his roommate/videographer was rushing out the door to meet up with a client. In that moment, Crywolf told his roommate to film him on the spot for fun and games. He didn’t really think anything of it at first because the lack of planning on his part didn’t really reflect how he works as an artist. Then it hit me – that is the entire point of this video. The fact that this was shot and recorded on an iPhone tells us that art can be captured at any given moment. Whether it be behind studio doors or in your bedroom messing around on a guitar, the artistic value of spontaneity gives us the ability to appreciate these times and bring forth a new movement in the world. After seeing what he had created, Crywolf was drawn to the organic nature of this random vision and decided to create a new acoustic series called: Crywolf Unpulgged. We are extremely happy to be the premiering this video with all of you and we look forward to seeing what the next episode in the series has to offer. We here at TMN hope you enjoy this video – it may not be the quality you came for, but the story behind this gem makes us love the iPhone 5 quality that much more. As the day carries on and the work load begins to pile even higher than normal, it has become evident that even ninjas can be in over their heads with the demanding forces around us. Luckily we know just how to cure these overwhelming times of stress with music to calm our nerves and bring us back to reality. One of our go-to TMN artists, Sam Feldt, just unleashed his latest remix with Bloombox in which they took on I Am Oak’s indie tune, “On Trees and Birds and Fire”. What we have come to love about Sam Feldt and his work is that he continues to push his sound with each and every song he puts out – and kills it every time. Don’t you remember his “Guitar” remix? If not, then do yourself a favor and click this for magic.

We aren’t too familiar with Bloombox’s productions, but considering him and Sam just nailed this I Am Oak’s remix tells us that maybe we should keep him on our radar as well. Just know that as soon as you press play, you will be welcomed with a lovely music box melody, a folky banjo, and a trumpet to get your body movin’. There is nothing more pleasing than the soothing sensations of melodic house during times of stress. So thanks Sam and Bloombox, we appreciate these calming vibes.

Tuesday seems to be an all-around disaster and we really need a good pick-me-up to turn that frown upside down. We think you all need a little dose of sunshine after SoundCloud decided to give up on us earlier this morning and afternoon. Now that SoundCloud got their crap together we can finally give you something to smile about all thanks to a TMN favorite, Slander.

The deep house, heaven trap producers have proved to us all that there really is no limitations when it comes to production. A few weeks ago the duo snagged the #1 spot on Hypem with their stunning deep house remix of Gorgon City’s, “Here For You” and we had some nice things to say about that remix in particular. Well ninjas, Slander is back at it again and this time with a melodic trap edit of Audien and Party Thieves remixes of Bastille’s famous song, “Pompeii”. From the very beginning, we are introduced with a synth-heavy lead, a wicked clap, and that oh so familiar Audien piano touch and uplifting progressive build. As soon as you reach the break you instantly feel as if you have been lifted up into the cosmos to float amidst an ocean full of beauty. We know that this tune will give you a much needed boost to get you through the rest of your day so press play and take off in your little spaceship to heaven.

It’s early as hell right now and the hangover has comfortably settled in its place. The only logical thing to do to cure this throbbing headache is to blast some Varien as loud as you can. The Monstercat native just unleashed an epic monstrosity to the world to which he takes dubstep to an entirely new cinematic level. Bringing in elements from the metal and hardcore genre, Varien’s new track, “Gunmetal Black”, is everything you need in life; whether you’re getting married or simply going to the grocery store for more eggs, this song is ideal for any and all settings.

Varien’s, “Gunmetal Black” appears to have been influenced by Chinese culture considering it makes you feel like you’re Mulan and you’re about to defeat the Huns. If that doesn’t sound like a good time to you, then maybe you should go on a Disney movie binge and watch that classic gem until you’ve convinced yourself otherwise. Varien effectively takes hold of our emotions and masterfully builds us up for easily one of the most epic releases we’ve had in a long time.
