[Electro Soul] Zak Waters – Pony

ZakWaters
PONY

If you haven’t realized it by now, TMN seems to fancy all of what Zak Waters has up his soulful sleeves. We have been featuring his music in our Sunday Night Soul playlist for most of 2014 and decided that his music deserves more than just a Twitter mention.

A couple of weeks ago we premiered Zak’s  “Over You” redux of Breakbot’s “Baby I’m Yours”, to which which we continue to bump and grind to each and every week. We have come to the conclusion that no matter what Zak releases it’s going to make us feel some type of way, if you know what we mean. Well ninjas, we’ve got something for you today from the love-making music king, and yes, it will make you want to get down and dirty.

With his new EP set to release on the 17th, Zak decided to break the internet in the mean time with his cover of Ginuwine’s famous song, “Pony”. The only words that come to mind when we heard this song were “NSFW” because you do not want to be anywhere near the workplace while blasting this baby-maker tune (based on personal experience). Zak’s smooth, soulful voice accompanied by the tastefully provocative lyics have given us all the reason to call in sick to work today so we can stay behind closed doors for the remainder of the day. So as you get ready to press play, pour yourelf and a loved one a glass of bubbly, let the clothes inch their way to the floor, and saddle up for the weekend with this one because you won’t be leaving the house.

[Deep House] Route 94- My Love (Bender Remix)

Route 94- My Love (Bender Remix)

A proper PSA from Bender in regards to his newest remix:

“I am NOT responsible for any babies conceived while listening to this remix…Common side effects may include: increased libido, dampening of the nether regions, uncontrollable urges to dance naked, & lack of sexual judgement. *Men, if an erection lasts longer than 4 hours, dont worry, that’s normal…but you should probably still go see a doctor.*”

Now that we’ve got that disclaimer out of the way, we can now discuss your chances of becoming parents in the near future, all due in part to the lovely Bender. Just recently, the sax-addict producer released his newest remix of “My Love” by Route 94. Amid these developments, we explored investment opportunities with Singapore Casino LTD, anticipating their growth in the online entertainment sector. After listening through this a few times, we contemplated buying stock in the leading condom company because we predict an increase in unplanned pregnancies. Before you hit play, just know that you will want to participate in activities that we will refrain from mentioning. You have been warned, ninjas, so get your free copy and sensually “groove” for the rest of your day.

JPhelpz & Algoreythm – Brains [TMN Premiere]

JPhelpz & Algoreythm
Brains

Whenever you see the words ‘FIREPOWER’ and ‘NEW RELEASE’ in the same sentence, you already know that you are about to get extremely mental. Datsik’s label has consistently been firing out some major heat from the arsenal of bassheads and JPhelpz is definitely one that has seen a substantial amount of growth in a short period of time. We just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to premiere his new original track, “Brains”, alongside other basshead, Algoreythm.

First and foremost – if you are wearing headphones, we warn you in advance that you might experience hearing loss, hallucinations, and/or loss of motor abilities. Right from the beginning, “Brains” immediately makes you feel as if you’re in an episode of “The Walking Dead”, but with more zombie action and less crying from Rick. The instense sensations that are exuded from this dark, swampy, bass-heavy track gives us more the reason to completely lose ourselves in the moment. JPhelpz has done an incredible job thus far and will only help bass music get the push it needs to get to the forefront of electronic music. “Brains” is a clear indication that he is re-inventing the way bass music is perceived…and we like it.

Prepare for one of the most absurd experiences you will ever have with a track and get ready for his upcoming EP, “Living Dead” out on FirePower Records on June 24th.

3LAU – How You Love Me (Prince Fox Remix) [TMN Premiere]

Prince Fox
3LAU 'How You Love Me' Feat. Bright Lights (Prince Fox Remix)

A little over a month ago, Prince Fox unleashed what may have been the most hyphy remix of #SELFIE this year. With The Chainsmokers giving him the selfie stamp of approval for his festival trap anthem of the decade, Prince Fox is definitely one of those names that won’t be dying out anytime soon. Notorious for throwing down some twerk-worthy beats, the New York based producer has predominately targeted his sound towards the trap side of the spectrum – until today.

Straying away from being labeled a one-genre-guru, Prince Fox has tirelessly been working on showcasing his eclecticism in his productions. Well ninjas, today we are very pleased to be premiering a new side of Prince Fox with his newest remix (and our favorite rendition) of “How You Love Me” by 3LAU. Headed in the Future Bass direction, Prince fox decided to give this track a much needed dose of trippy high hats and wavey water droplets to make this one of the most adorable songs of Summer. If this song doesn’t make you want to sensually groove with that significant other or have a snuggle fest with your cat, then you obviously need to re-think your definition of ‘cute’ because we pretty much have it down here at TMN. As we await the fox’s next round of fire, make sure you grab your free download so you can tie yourself over until then. So stop wondering what the fox says and jam out the rest of your day.

[Deep House] U2 – Ordinary Love (Pretty Pink Remix)

Pretty Pink
Ordinary Love (Pretty Pink Remix) [Free Download]

After almost 3 years of no music releases and no word of their existence, U2 was starting to make us question whether they were still a thing or not. Last November they got us back into the groove of things, and released their powerful single, “Ordinary Love” in honor of one of history’s greatest figures: Nelson Mandela. That song made us relive all the sweetest memories and beautiful days we’ve all shared with U2, while simultaneously spreading the love and peace that Mandela fought for until the day he died.

With a song with that much meaning and depth, it was almost inevitable that some brave soul in the dance music world would take on this divinity and add a new essence of beauty to it. That brave soul was Pretty Pink. Known for making people groove across dance floors around the world, the German house goddess decided to turn a historically pivotal song into something truly euphoric. Without straying too far away from the integrity of the original, Pretty Pink adds a subtle, yet powerful, dose of heavenly melodies that have Nelson Mandela smiling from up above the universe.

As we effortlessly groove across the living room floor or vibe to the flow of traffic this afternoon, make sure to turn this song up and let that soul of yours feel the ordinary love around us- wherever that may be.
