[Indie Pop] Golden Coast – The Futurist

Golden Coast
Futurist

If there’s one thing we can’t get enough of over here in Southern California it’s 70 degree weather, kale smoothies, and some Golden Coast music to make our days much, much brighter. With only 4 songs on their Soundcloud and a few remixes by some well known artists, the sunshine state duo are back with a summery new track that will wrap your goosebump covered skin with a snuggie full of warmth.

After listening through “The Futurist” a few hundred times, we noticed that a) we REALLY love this track b) it has a slight Reggae influence in its predominately Indie nature, and c) we just REALLY love this track. Filled with mesmerizing guitar riffs, vibrant, tropical elements, and a catchy chorus that’ll be stuck in your head all day, Golden Coast undoubtedly just blew us straight into paradise with this one. These guys have been putting out solid content over the past few months and each release just seems to get better and better. We think “The Futurist” is their best track yet…but we know they’ll probably make us re-evaluate that bold statement.

This track is up for free download, however, if you want a copy for yourself just email the guys at: wearegoldencoast@gmail.com and let them know you supported the track on Hype Machine! So if you’re feeling a bit cold today, wrap yourself up in this Golden Coast blanket of pure, sun shiny ecstasy.

[Sensual] Oh Wonder – The Rain (Saje Remix)

Oh Wonder
The Rain (Saje Remix)

If there’s an artist that we’ve been paying close attention to these days, it’s Oh Wonder. Their tasteful songwriting and highly arousing productions captivate the ears of all who listen. Since the release of their latest gem, ‘The Rain”, producers have been taking advantage of remixing this incredible number and taking our ears and minds to new places. French producer duo, Saje, decided to remedy our aching Monday souls with their stunning take on this Oh Wonder masterpiece and it might just be the greatest thing we’ve ever heard.

With such a forward-thinking approach to this remix, Saje creates an entirely new atmosphere that moves our souls and soothes our caffeinated hearts. Filled with rhythmic, ambient drum patterns, delicately woven synths, and the angelic vocals of Oh Wonder, Saje elevates our minds and helps us achieve higher, more illuminating vibrations. So prepare to transcend into a lucid world, ninjas, because there’s a possibility you won’t return. Make sure to grab your free download before you swoon into a realm of celestial bliss.

Azedia – Kin [TMN PREMIERE]

AZEDIA
Kin

After taking some much needed time off from all things music, this ninja has forgotten what it’s like to write out just how these sounds make us all feel. You might be thinking “how the hell do you just take a break from music?” Well, sometimes it’s nice to fill the room with silence in order to appreciate good music and today we have just the song to help remedy your ears. Helping fill our empty souls are London producer duo, Azedia and their heart-warming new original, “Kin”.

“Kin” is the type of song that could easily be the soundtrack of our Winter; it resonates something enticingly refreshing across the crisp, cold air. Filled with bumpin’ builds, intricate piano bridges, haunting hums, and angellic synths, Azedia brings our ears a taste of heaven with this elevating track. For me personally, this song instantly took me back to that one time I randomly flew over to the East coast by myself, where I explored new cities, new people, and new energies. Since then, music has never sounded the same. So cheers to Azedia for giving us all those reminiscent feelings of all the times we’ve felt exuberant, free, and full of life. Make sure to pre-order their second album, Form, out on February 22nd.

Fall Out Boy – Centuries (Gazzo Remix) [TMN PREMIERE]

Fall Out Boy
Centuries (Gazzo Remix)

Drop what you are doing, grab your phone, and text Santa with this exact message: “DEAR SANTA – FALL OUT BOY & GAZZO – MAKE IT HAPPEN OR RUDOLPH WON’T BE GUIDING YOUR SLEIGH TONIGHT”. A little hostility gets him in the Christmas spirit so why not threaten him this year? Helping us realize just how naughty we have been is New Jersey producer, Gazzo, and his sensational official remix of Fall Out Boy’s newest song, “Centuries”. Filled with heavy percussion, trap-style synth breakdowns, and powerful progressive elements, Gazzo transforms the new FOB song into the song of the century (pun intended). This production is unlike anything we’ve heard from Gazzo, but we can genuinely say that this type of sound is something we can all get down to. Now that we’ve listened to this a million times through, we’re just about ready to dive back into the year 2004 and binge on our favorite bands from back in the day.  So check your lists twice because Santa (AKA Gazzo in this case) is about to give you the present you’ve been wanting your whole life.

While there’s no release date set at the moment, you can expect this little beauty to drop sometime early next year.
