His second, ‘Aspera’ will be released December 3rd under the Snowfall imprint. ‘Behest’ lends itself to beautiful yet cold tones of escapism that can ironically warm the soul. This young and talented UK producer is an absolute must follow for anyone looking to relax to new sounds.

Devising a delicious cocktail with Nervo, Special Features, and Hook N Sling, this mashup packs quite a punch, topping the charts of Hype Machine for a couple of days now.
Colorado is exploding with new talent. We last posted about Jeremy “Daytona Velasquez” exactly one year ago with his track “Disconnect”, jagged and robotic dubstep tune.
Today Daytona brings forth something much more fluid in its conception with “Dark Child”. Introducing itself with a somber beginning, the track picks up in intensity and emotional undertones as light vocals glide through a series of ever evolving structures of wobbled bass lines. A definite chill and poetic sounding track to vibe through while ending a night full of surprises.
There is no question that it is hard to make a name for oneself in the current state of music. With so many new rising new artists, particularly in the electronic genre as anyone can make beats using their computer, it is hard to stand out. However, once again PatrickReza delivers promise under a new moniker for a much experimental project, Drule.
We have seen PatrickReza improve in style and execution with every single dubstep-driven track, and today we have a much more sporadic yet equality intriguing collection of sounds to share with you.
Drule feels like a sketchbook with an empty canvas for PatrickReza to work on non-dubstep related tracks. Ranging from drum&bass to glitch hop, he is able to create new sound and experiences that while not fully materialized, feel just as coherent as his main project. Both “Stars” and “Skyfall” bring a level of insight into the mind of the youthful Los Angeles producer.

Quite similar to The Music Ninja motto, this new remix of the iconic single from female Swedish DJ and electropop duo Icona Pop has us bouncing around on a very busy Monday evening. Jon Pegnato aka Hot Mouth is an upcoming Los Angeles producer with a sweet tooth for bouncing electro house (also check out the remix of LAZRtag’s “Let Me See Those Hands”). Sometimes there is no reason to count the why for loving something, even if this catchy remix delivers one too many.

The future couldn’t be brighter for the enthralling six-piece UK band Eliza and the Bear. With tough competition surrounding the indie/folk genre, standing out has become an ever increasing difficult feat for up and coming musician. Yet, Eliza and the Bear have cut their way through like a butter knife. In similar fashion to Mumford and Sons and rising stars from Denver The Lumineers, whose harmonic instrumentation and chemistry have enchanted the folk-driven scene, Eliza and The Bear have raised the the bar even higher for all indie/folk/rock.
Just five months ago, they released a teaser of their upcoming debut album with a song titled “Brother’s Boat’. With a slow and melodic intro, utilizing catchy guitar riffs and background trumpets, the band quickly sets a foundation of pure musical bliss. Soft and heart-warming lyrics quickly fill the track with a sense of honest reflection that is ultimately interrupted by one of the most explosives and welcoming organic ‘drops’ from an indie band we have encountered this year. No matter what the lyrics may be about, “Brother’s Boat” is a surprisingly wonderful gem that will have your heart skip a beat of utter joy.
There is absolutely no way anyone cannot fall in love with the sheer energy and emotional connection Eliza and The Bear has with music. They have already recorded their debut EP with the much-acclaimed producer Peter Miles at ‘Middle Farm Studios’ in Exeter (Devon) and are currently keeping a close-guard around it, as they tour and increase their live presence. God, I already feel dirty about the things I would do to just see them live.

Manchester’s The 1975 continue to build momentum with the release of their sophomore “Sex” EP and the next chapter in an impressive series of remixes. Following Ryan Hemsworth’s shimmering version of “Sex”, rising UK producer Hackman has reworked the title track into a garage inflected four-to-the-floor workout.
The 1975’s “Sex” EP is out today, November 19th, in the UK on Dirty Hit and November 20th in the US via Vagrant Records.
