Gareth Emery has established himself at the forefront of the house genre, and the release of “Mansion” with Ashley Wallbridge showed that the UK DJ/producer is not to be trifled with. But of course here comes 19-year-old phenom Porter Robinson, who shapes and shifts the track to adhere to his electro-progressive taste. The drops beg to be danced to, so grab a bottle of Jager, make some bad decisions and put this edit on repeat.
Straight out of Richmond, VA/Washington DC come Billy The Gent and Long Jawns, a dynamic moombahton duo who were known as “up and coming” right until Diplo dropped his “Express Yourself” EP and featured these two on the impossibly catchy and straight up sexy “Butter’s Theme”. “Holler” is a track that was released as a preview a couple months back but has since been leaked in its entirety on YouTube. In short, this thing a monster.
Crushing synth along with your standard bouncy moombah bassline should make “Holler” a future staple for any DJ wishing to stay fresh and above all else, make people dance their asses off. According to Billy The Gent himself the official release date and accompanying video is set for July 19th! Keep an eye out for these two.
Most people familiar with Zedd know that he not only is he an undeniably talented DJ/producer but also an incredible musician, as evidenced by a recent YouTube upload of a piano cover of his latest single “Spectrum”. In Dead C∆t Bounce’s remix of said track we see Zedd’s musicianship accentuated by their addition of fresh orchestral elements and a gritty bassline while retaining Matthew Koma’s soaring and haunting vocals. What this duo from Luxembourg does intelligently is take Zedd’s skill and tweak it in a way that is refreshing yet still sounds like the good ‘ol Zedd we know and love.
