[Video] Memory Tapes – Yes I Know

‘Yes I Know’, the third track to be unveiled from Dayve Hawk’s AKA Memory Tapes forthcoming album, ‘Player Piano’, comes exactly 2 months since we last featured Memory Tapes and the stunning ‘Wait In The Dark’. ‘Yes I Know’ sees Dayve match this new warm and psychedelic album track with a fantastically surreal video.

Player Piano is due out on July 5 via Carpark Records.

[Indie] WU LYF – Dirt

Elusive Manchester buzz band World Unite/Lucifer Youth Foundation or WU LYF to their friends are set to release their eagerly anticipated debut album ‘Go Tell Fire To The Mountain‘ on June 13th.

Introducing their self released album WU LYF have just set off on a worldwide tour and have been dropping video previews including the above frenzied video for ‘Dirt’, filmed predominantly at the London student tuition fee protests and ensuing riots.

Rasping yet soulful vocals from Ellery Roberts howl almost incomprehensibly like an anarchist call to arms over the mysterious, dark organ lines and tribal rock drums. Judging from the few tracks we’ve heard so far from the English quartet this is going to be a raw and exciting debut; thankfully we aren’t going to have to wait too much longer to hear it …

[Indie] Get People – Away

Get People’s second release appears just under a year after we first came across their tribal-infused, dance pop; but it’s definitely been worth the wait! ‘Away’, the first track lifted from their follow up EP, entitled ‘Rain Tears’,  is another superb slice of easy going, imaginative and intelligent pop music.

Having only been around for a little over a year the London dance trio have quickly been making friends in all the right places. Their tropical pop originals and unique remixes of other artists, including Mystery Jets, Morning Parade, Is Tropical and The Wombats, have seen Get People released by Kitsuné and invited to share a stage with bands like Metronomy, The Wombats and Crystal Fighters.

The Rain Tears EP is out on July 11th but it the mean time grab ‘Away’ for free here:
