Avicii, responsible for one of the most popular (and overplayed) tracks of last year, credited for topping beatport charts and even playing next to Madonna (probably not by choice) has teamed up with Eric Turner to release an must-listen collaborative track titled “Dancing In My Head”. Turner, who possesses a talented set of lyrical and vocal skills exhibited on both Lupe Fiasco and Tinie Tempah tracks, takes this uplifting production to new heights. Avicii’s “Been Cursed” remix of “Dancing In My Head” blends emotive, echoed vocals with a progressive upbeat drum line, creating a nostalgic yet stirring presence.

Do you know that excited, amped-up feeling a new or beloved old song gives you when it unexpectedly blares through your speakers? My Awesome Mixtape 3 does just that. Known for his weekly radio show, SmashTime Radio, the American DJ and music producer Clinton Sparks has combined favorite house, electro, hip hop and dubstep tracks to deliver listeners an “all-rise” feeling that will get everyone pumped up to do something active. A-Trak – Fool’s Gold Radio August 2012 Mix

Collaborating with designers including Nike, New Era and Kidrobot is not the only reason why this certain individual is well-recognized. Along with being the co-founder of the Brooklyn-based record label Fool’s Gold, A-Trak has taken a huge role in producing the label’s unique sound, which melds the best of both worlds together – EDM and hip-hop music. Kid Cudi and Duck Sauce are among many prevailing artists introduced by Fool’s Gold Record Label.

This new August 2012 mix is testimony to A-Trak’s admired electronic-remixing skills (examples being his remixes for “Heads will Roll” by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Solveig‘s “The Night Out”). Kicking off with a spin on the intro to Style of Eye‘s techno track, “Ray Dee Oh,” you can except to be surprised and impressed by the additions of upbeat summer tracks including Gregor Salto‘s “Azumba” as well as…

The Knocks & Fred Falke – Geronimo (Lenno Remix)

Nearing the top 10 tracks on Beatport’s Indie Dance/Nu Disco chart earlier this week was 17-year-young Lenno’s remix of The Knocks and Fred Falke’s ‘Geronimo’ which landed a spot at #12. The young dj/producer from Finland has been recognized for groovy, upbeat remixes including his collab with Jesse Oliver for Miami Horror’s ‘Holidays’ and B.o.B’s ‘Nothin’ on You’. This new track, much like the others, is nothing less than awesome. It has a chill enough beat to blast during a day drive down to the beach and disco-resonating vibe that would want to get you out on the dance floor. Simply put – a track worth putting on repeat.

UK-born Jacques Lu Cont, otherwise known as Stuart Price, has dropped a well-anticipated exclusive Essential Mix over the weekend on BBCR1. Having taken time off from his personal projects to song-write and produce albums for a variety of artists including Missy Elliot, Keane, Seal and Madonna, he has stepped back into the DJ setting to release a mix which covers a wide spectrum of genres yet remains cohesive and genuine to his sound. He also recently produced a personal exclusive ‘tracque’ that remixes Coldplay’s ‘Charlie Brown’ on Annie Mac’s show.
