If you’re into softer indie rock and music with a message, you’ve come to the right place. Fairchild, an Australian indie group, just released their US debut EP titled Sadako. With a sound resembling indie powerhouses like The Temper Trap and Two Door Cinema Club, Fairchild’s music speaks to its audience in incredible ways.
Here we have an edit of one of their singles titled “Stay Young”, which is a track that best represents the band’s sound in our opinion. The tune starts off with some fast-paced drum lines, soon to be driven by these delicate muted guitar melodies. Adam Lyons, the singer of the group, provides us with vocals that are pleasant and emotionally driven. The lyrics are nothing short of wonderful, as they appeal to the younger generation through a powerful message.
With such positive energy in their music, Fairchild manages to create a sound that is refreshing and universal. The midnight edit adds a more progressive drive to the epic track without being overdone. With this release, Fairchild is set to make a name for themselves by making their US debut. Make sure to check out the rest of their EP, we can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
Following the success of his “I Don’t Wanna Know” remix, Jerry Folk wows everyone once again with yet another instant classic. Putting his own twist to the classic R&B tune “Suga Suga”, the Norwegian producer showcases his talent through a variety of sweet maneuvers. Started off with a housey beat, the tune is quickly led by these catchy synths, followed by a sample from the original’s famous guitar riff that gets looped around. The bass drop of the track consists of an unexpected funky bassline which takes everyone by surprise. Jerry Folk is definitely showing us another side of his element with this one.

La’Reda, an LA-based duo made up of two established musicians in Brion Charles and Nathan Barbour, came out with a unique edit of Atlanta-based artist Raury‘s “God’s Whisper” yesterday totally spicing things up and adding their own twist. This rework features a subtle deep-house beat and a chilled out vibe that fully consumes your attention. The original voice samples are incorporated cleverly into the mix. The hollow synths used in the breakdown towards the end of the song fit perfectly with Raury’s powerful vocals. It’s complex and deep without being overdone.

New York-based producer Jai Wolf just released another big-time remix! Spicing up Alesso‘s “Heroes”, this rework screams Jai Wolf’s character and talents. A dreamy trap beat and synthwave elements are incorporated into the tune, further accentuating Tove Lo‘s soothing vocals. The instrumental isn’t overdone, yet it stands out because its subtle dissonance that mixes absurdly well with the rest of the track. Everything about this tune really hits the spot, resembling sounds of Odesza and other electronica acts. Hats off to Mr. Jai Wolf.
Following the success of his “Say My Name” remix, Jai Wolf is setting the bar even higher with this new release. We are very excited to see what else he has in store for us.
The Bixel Boys are redefining electronic music in more than one way. The LA-based duo impress us once again with their latest offering, a banger of a remix to Theophilus London‘s “Tribe”. Starting off with a bouncy house beat, the tune matches Theo’s melodic flow. The hard-hitting bass line catches the listener’s attention before the electro elements and an epic drop take over. This tune is the epitome of creativity within electronic music. You never know what to expect with this talented group of musicians.

We get beyond excited every time Lido drops a new remix, and this one lets us peek into a different side of the Norwegian producer. Incorporating sustained keys with Emma Louise‘s pleasant vocals, Lido takes us on a dreamy adventure with this remix of Flight Facilities‘ “Two Bodies”. Keeping a minimalist approach with his usual chill trap music, the talented musician works his magic through jazzy chords, muffled noise samples and other seemingly easy maneuvers. It’s slow, mysterious and emotionally-driven without being overdone. Lido definitely takes the cake with this one.
