[Electronic] HONNE- Didn’t I
Didn't I
More affectionate music from Honne as they cover ‘Didn’t I’ by Darondo. Once again their signature sound puts us in a floating and free state of mind. We’ve watched them grow from the roots up with electric singles and cinematic visuals, but now the duo is less than a month away from releasing their Coastal Love EP, expected May 4th on Tatemae Recordings. The build up and delivery of this new music will provide much needed momentum for their upcoming UK shows and eventual migration over to the US. As we begin to turn the corner towards the latter half of 2015, I feel that Honne has the capability to really own it. Pre-order the Coastal Love EP now.
[Future Funk] GRiZ- For The Love (Feat. Talib Kweli)
For The Love (feat. Talib Kweli)
Still in the early stages of building an internal family, GRiZ and the team over at All Good Records are excitedly preparing for his new album, Say It Loud. Available March 31st, AGR will team up with BitTorrent for its distribution, joining fellow musicians like Thom Yorke and Madonna to utilize the platform. Say It Loud will also be available via all major digital retailers and services for those of you traditional purchasers.
His latest offering ‘For The Love’ is another Future Funk gem and is notably blessed by the legendary Talib Kweli! Both artists have always been conscious creators and their combined energy on this track extends way beyond. “Say It Loud is an album that took me all around the United States recording sounds from funk jam sessions to children’s choirs, trumpet solos in the forest to saxophone lines in the boiler room of my house – it is an album for everyone,” said GRiZ, “This music is meant to be experienced, danced to, sang along with, felt… that’s what it’s all about.” His jam-packed tour itinerary includes headliners at The Tabernacle, Terminal 5, The Wiltern and Red Rocks Amphitheatre, alongside festival gigs at Hangout, Lightning In A Bottle, Movement & Mysteryland to name a few.
[Psych-Rock] Tandem Felix – Nothing I Do Will Ever Be Good Enough
Nothing I Do Will Ever Be Good Enough
‘Nothing I Do Will Ever Be Good Enough’ from Dublin four-piece Tandem Felix gives us a taste of Comma, a new project they’re set to release on April 27th via imprint Trout Records. It’s a time of transition for the band who has been releasing music periodically for the last four years. Pairing both country and psych-rock throughout, their new EP will be a treasure chest especially for fans of both Sparklehorse and Wilco. Comprised of David A. Tapley (Guitar / Vocals), Evan Keogh (Bass), Éna Brennan (Violin), and Jeffrey Courtney (Drums), Tamden Felix have found their defining sound that shall take them to new heights. Head over to Soundcloud and dive into their impressive catalogue.
[Soul-Hop] William Bolton – Dream At Night (Feat. Dillon Ashton)
Dream At Night (ft. Dillon Ashton)
The young and intelligent William Bolton has many skills. You’ll have to dig into his Soundcloud to experience the records he produced himself – look for Times New Roman – but his new single ‘Dream At Night’ properly showcases his polished vocals. The relaxing production on this one is handled by Kaui Beats, an understated producer from NYC, and his soulful samples compliment the distinct vocal patterns of Bolton very well. Through his hometown connections in Detroit, Willy B adds Dillon Ashton on a verse to really mop the place up. This record will find it’s long-term home on his upcoming project, Love Supreme, sure to be available soon. Stay tapped into this guy, there are many tricks up his sleeve.

Consumers in attendance shall bare witness to an integral part of their run to global touring success. Timing is everything and these guys have it all packed tightly around their debut EP, which is sure to make a splash in the US after they start swimming. As respected citizens of Mullingar, Ireland, The Academic play mature and friendly sounds. They’ve found their edge with this catchy new single and it shall be an exciting ride from here!
[House] GOLDHOUSE- When I Come Home
When I Come Home
GOLDHOUSE just turned three (3) years old last month. The multi-talented Los Angeles resident has seen major growth over the last few seasons with successful remixes, including a crisp rendition of ‘Dreams‘ from Fleetwood Mac. New single ‘When I Come Home’ is his first original release in a while and it truly embodies that feeling of going back to where you originally came from. GOLDHOUSE must have returned back to Chicago just before writing this to channel the energy he needed. It’s a record that we shall celebrate our victories with. Let’s see what’s next.
