We’re kicking off this weeks Trap Dojo in a hard way with the newest track from trap music prodigy Alex Young, an original titled “Mastermind”. Don’t let the emotional electro build-up fool you, when this one drops, nothing will stop you from banging your head and attempting to shuffle, no matter where you are. Vinnie Maniscalco puts a fresh spin on an old favorite this week, remixing The Champs classic tune “Tequila”. With heavy bass and clever drum work, he flips the familiar sax tune on its head. Ookay and Pyramid Juke come together for a huge collaboration with this minimal track “Yen”, hope you have your subs turned up for this one. The name Aylen should be a familiar sight to you ninjas, so you know when he remixes Porter Robinson the result is going to be massive, complex trap banger. Both ETC!ETC! and CRNKN bring us two very different remixes of Tokimonsta. ETC!ETC! pulls some huge 808s and snares over some lyrics by Kool Keith, while CRNKN chills it out a bit. TRILLWAVE remixes “Good Vibrations” by Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch on their nostalgic EP www.trapgodz.com which also includes a remix of “What is Love” and “Believe” by Cher. Theres plenty more heaters for you to discover in this weeks dojo, so be sure to check them out.

The Trap Dojo #41
The Trap Dojo #39
We’re kicking off this week with the first track of the new Animal LP from Bro Safari and UFO!. This whole album is filled with killer tracks from all sides of bass music from Trap to Moombah and Dubstep to DnB, and the best part is that its free. Download the whole album here. Next up, there are a couple tracks from another hot release this week, the Spotlight 1 compilation, which is full of the best EDM around in all styles, with Smookie Illson and K-Theory bringing that trapstyle to the party. When it comes to CRNKN we know him as one of the hottest names in the trap world, with massive track after huge collaboration, and while this time he brings us something completely different, the scale is just as big as his trap songs. CRNKN takes the Must Die! trap original and turns it into a beautiful house beat for a little 4 on the floor for your day. I promised myself that i wouldnt fill the list with Daft Punk remixes, but there were a couple that you really have to hear, and both of them are of “Doin It Right,” one of my favorite songs on Random Access Memories. First off Vinnie Maniscalco chops and screws the vocals in just the right way while putting a juke/footwork twist on the already high tempo track. I’m saving the other remix for last. Leave it to Valentino Khan to think that it isn’t enough to release a killer new moombah track, but to trap it out himself too. Willy Joy is back too, reminding you of rapper Mike Jones‘s personal phone number, just in case you want to drop him a line. TWRK may be fairly new to the scene, but are absolutely bringing the beats to make her twerk. This collab with Canadian 4KORNERS is easily one of the dirtiest songs I’ve ever heard. “The Whip” by Foxsky gets a “PLUR Trap” remix from ETC!ETC! on this EP from the Mad Decent/Jeffrees label, along with some amazing remixes by The Reef, Udachi and Vass. Get all of them here for free. Up next, from across the pond, an ode to that pair of “Dirty Vans” that hold so many memories by The Ninetys. Party Favor has always brought the ruckus, and this new release on Ministry of Sound definitely goes all in. This is a public service announcement from ︻╦╤─ ƱZ ─╤╦︻ reminding you to always КЄЄⱣ Ị₮ ₮ЯỊⱢⱢ. The last few tracks definitely keep it trill with Kaytradana and Kastle who always create some of the most beautiful and evocative soundscapes in Trap music. Finally, Ray Complex slows down “Doin It Right” and makes it the perfect nighttime drive song.
[Electro-Trap] TastyTreat & Nasty Nate – Cultivation EP
Our boys TastyTreat and Nasty Nate just graced us with this awesome new EP Cultivation. Cultivation features Moombah tempo heavy electro and ground rattling heavy electro-trap sure to send a dancefloor into a frenzy. Watch out for TastyTreat as they will be releasing some fire soon on Teenage Riot Records, the imprint started by JFK of MSTRKRFT and featuring artists like Bird Peterson, Mr. Vega and Team Bayside High
The Trap Dojo #37 + [TMN Premiere] Wild Belle – Keep You (Team Bayside High Premiere
I’m sure if you’re a regular Trap Dojo listener the name Team Bayside High is familiar, and this week, we’re very stoked to be bringing you the premiere of their brand new remix of Chicago indie rockers Wild Belle’s new single “Keep You”. This remix keeps some of Wild Belle’s soulful lyrics but packs it full of heavy hitting bass along with the deep horns of the original. Watch out for the second drop with a high spacey riff that will definitely have you coming back again and again. Team Bayside High has been all over the map with the material that they choose to remix and have yet to disappoint. They also released an original tune this week called “Gold Heart” that’s featured later on the list, proving that they can craft their own tunes just as well as they can remix. You probably heard the new Knife Party EP Haunted House, and next up CRNKN turns the song “LRAD” into a huge hard-hitting trap machine. Not much needs to be said about this next track other than its an RL Grime remix of “Love Sosa” by Chief Keef. Last week we included the original version of this Yellow Claw track, and now the homies Watapachi turn it up to 11. Flosstradamus samples all those great lines about asses from “Mercy” for this booty-dropping anthem, with enough bass that would really feel like an “Assquake” when played on the right system. Next up is an awesome Justin Timberlake remix from Ricky Vaughn. This is the third JT remix he’s released and the third one to really impress me, and he’s said that he has more on the way. Next up we’ve got a bunch of Hip-Hop and Grime infused Trap before getting back to the more electronic side with J.Rabbit, Big Chocolate, Carnage, Dan Farber and more. The last few songs really cool things down and the list ends with an amazing remix of the classic tune “Smoke Rings (Where Do They Go)” perfect for a lazy summer evening.

The Trap Dojo #35
Last week we included the newest tune from TNGHT, “Acrylics”. A massive tune in its own right, but this week, DonKong had a fever, for which the only cure was more cowbell and absolutely turned it up in this remix. Next, the newest dancefloor anthem from Macklemore gets a huge trap twist from Dance Floor Junkies. With a brainmelting drop filled with lazers and horns, this is sure to keep everybody’s hands up and get all of the party people sweating. A new song from Flosstradamus is always something to get us excited, and this 4/20 special is no exception. The first of many smokers anthems we’re bringing you this week, this FKi collab is just as hazy as you would expect, with killer lyrics. TastyTreat also released an awesome 4/20 banger using Christina Milan and Lil Wayne‘s lyrics and chopping them up with some finely crafted synths for an emotionally charged dancefloor beast. Lil Wayne isn’t going away yet though as Sam F Brings us another hectic remix. Rihanna gets a trip to the trap by The Cataracts & Borgeous. The rest of the list is filled with bangers, with every influence from the most gangster of rap to progressive house and hardstyle. Zombass & Huoratron get very dark and occultist at the end before some deep night time vibes take over to finish it off.

[TMN Premiere] Basement Jaxx – Where’s Your Head At (Team Bayside High & Willy Joy Bootleg)
Where's Your Head At (Team Bayside High & Willy Joy Bootleg)
Today, we are very pleased to bring you the premiere of a huge new track from Team Bayside High and Willy Joy. Both these names have been seen often on The Music Ninja, as TBH have released some of the heaviest trap we’ve ever heard with their remix of Pantera‘s “Walk”, while showing their versatility with the incredibly chill remix of The Postal Service. Willy Joy has been releasing free tracks almost weekly for the past several months as part of his “Free Willy Wednesday”, and has been featured many times on our Trap Dojo and Friday Party Playlists and has shown an ability to turn any remix he touches to gold. “Where’s Your Head At” by Basement Jaxx is an all time EDM Classic, and while it is generally a tricky situation to tackle a classic, these guys do it with ease. You’ll be sure to be singing along to the classic lyrics while Willy and TBH throw down some really heavy trap flavor sure to have your head banging at whiplash levels. As the current inception of trap music enters its sophomore year and the genre begins to mature, Team Bayside High and Willy Joy are sure to become real heavyweights in the scene.
