So about a month ago Carnage dropped a live mix on Ustream, this track was amongst the madness that took place. Having two trap heavyweights on the same track, such as Luminox and Carnage, is a recipe for an anthem. A couple days ago MartyParty dropped a massive trapped out LP titled, MVP. Featuring everything from Purple Trap to Glitched out Dub, and all of it is original. Some notable tunes you don’t want to miss is this intro titled “MVP”, which drops some clever samples and a heavy 808 infused beat. Possibly the catchiest tune on the whole EP, “All In The Game” dropping a funky 8-Bit melody backed with massive synths and heavy bass. Probably the most unique track is “Angry Beethoven” and it features some laser infused wobbles and melodic chords that come together flawlessly. “Big Block” is the filthiest tune on MVP, and it brings some grimey hard hitting Dub mixed with swirling synths, that hit at all the right times. Bird Peterson aka Drankenstein deciedes to tackle one of the biggest Hip-Hop tunes of the year, “Swimming Pools” by Kendrick Lamar. Adding a heavy dose of 808’s and funky synths, this one is sure to be on repeat for a minute. A bubbly intro leading into some hot an heavy chords and bleeps that hit at all the right times. Fall in love all over again, Faded….Drank. Cheers.
All that really needs to be said is, new Dillon Francis remix. I could stop writing now but wheres the fun in that, Dillon really kills this one though. Nicky Romero and NERVO was already an incredible collab, so throwing Dillon in the mix, it’s bound to be hectic. He throws down his funky sounds and wobbles that transform this big House track into hard hitting banger. No news on the release but should be in the next couple weeks. Cheers.
This song is nothing short of amazing. Porter Robinson and Mat Zo team up, and surprise us with this melodic masterpiece. This euphoric sound design is similar to Porter’s style used in the production of “Language”. Between the incredibly sexy vocals and flawless synth work, Porter and Zo just flat out nail it. Enhancing a Crystal Castles track is quite a challange, but Grandtheft drops a truly masterful mix in this Edit of “Not In Love”. With a heavy 808 influence throughout the whole track, Grandtheft utilizes the empowering vocals from Robert Smith and tweaking the infectious melody in all the right ways. Filthy Disco might have one the remix constest with this epic take on A-Trak & Zinc’s track “Like The Dancefloor”. “Ghosts N Stuff” trap remix anyone?
