Lorin AKA Bassnectar is a genius. The intro for this mix sets the tone for what may be the dirtiest mix I’ve heard from him since I saw him perform for the first time back in San Francisco years ago. This is what Bassnectar had to say about this mix on his Soundcloud:

He also features these two remixes that were sent over to us yesterday the first one is Modeselektor and Ninjaman’s track “Weed Wid da Macka”. And the second is a remix of his own track “VaVa Voom” feat. Lupe Fiasco. The transitions in this mix are just flawless each song leading into the next one perfectly. He truly has outdone himself with this one, even featuring some of his older tracks like the Acapella from “Cozza Frenzy” and “Ugly” featuring Amp Live. Don’t you wanna? This is my kinda Trap with some relentless 808 smacking you in the face without any warning. Anytime Bro Safari & Knuckle Children you know it’s gonna be an insane production, the vocal sampling in this track is what did it for me. Not to stray away from the filthy lasers and subtle wobbles they sprinkle around, but this an all around hard hitting banger. “Freak” is one of the most unique Trap songs I’ve heard in a while and I just can’t get enough of all these amazing samples, and Bro and Knuckle need to just make an album together.
