[Hip-Hop + Dubstep] Zion I & Minnesota – Float

Well this is a collab I never saw coming, Zion I and Minnesota. Zion I consists of DJ Amp Live and MC Zumbi both hailing from none other then Oakland, California. They released this track to support their fall tour together titled, Shadowboxing Tour. This will also be on the upcoming album also titled, Shadowboxing. Minnesota is a master of melodic dub masterpieces and when you team up with one of my favorite Hip-Hop artists of all time, Zion I, it is sure to be on repeat for days.The rhymes in this track mesh perfectly with they sexy dub that Minnesota delivers, especially the chorus. Now we finally got someone to rival the Zeds Dead and Omar Linx collab.Cheers.

[Dubstep] 6Blocc – My Selekta (Bassnectar VIP)

My brain is currently melting, and it’s all thanks to San Francisco native Bassnectar. He recently released this VIP of 6Blocc‘s track “My Selekta,” and it is exactly what I needed for my day off. Starting off with sounds similiar to his track with Lupe Fiasco, “Va Va Voom”, with a 8-bit infused melody. Then dropping into relentless grimey wobbles with some hard and heavy vocal work. The sound design in this track reminded me a lot of his remix of RUN DMT‘s track “Sugarcube”. This track proves why Bassnectar is one of the best in the game especially when it comes to scrambling your brain. Cheers.

[House] Adventure Club – Need Your Heart ft. Kai (Cry Wolf “YOLO” Remix)

A few days ago Justin from Cry Wolf warned me something massive was about to go down. He was referring to this epic remix of Adventure Club‘s track “Need Your Heart.” It starts off with a funk infused melodic intro with a catchy bass line. Then dropping into some French House inspired wobbles firing off at all the right times, they have truly out done themselves with this one. Justin told me that French House was his first inspiration back when he was 14, and once Adventure Club sent them the acapella he knew what needed to be done. Once again another successful remix of Adventure Club‘s massive track “Need Your Heart,” and Cry Wolf will having me raging to this one for a while. Cheers #YOLO

[Electronic House] Cedrick Gervais – Molly (Quintino Remix)

HI. Quintino definitely found “Molly”. He makes me want to dance. Finally someone that transforms this big room anthem, into completely different hard hitting banger. Many have attempted remixing this track but Quintino executes it flawlessly delivering some similar sounds to A-Trak. Hot and heavy electro is pretty much all I care about when I’m on a dance floor and this almost guarantees spilling your drink on the asian couple next to you. The vocals are used perfectly while being surrounded by booming synths and some just flat out filthy electro. We will keep you posted on the release! Cheers.

[Dance] Adventure Club ft. Kai – Need Your Heart (Candyland Remix)

Santa Barbara natives Candyland stray away from their normal grimey filthy Dubstep ways and drop this massive melodic remix of AC‘s track “Need Your Heart”. I’ve been in contact with Josie recently and she mentioned working with some epic artists, I didn’t ever expect something this awesome. Seriously though, with AC and Candyland on the same track, dreams can come true. With some amazing vocal splicing on the intro, and some epic synths and leads, it’s sure to make you smile. Once the track gets going, they tweak Kai‘s voice in all the right ways, accompanied by some super-sexy harmonic amazingness that is sure to kill every dance floor around you. This remix shows the range and talent of these two epic producers, Josie and Ethan, proving why they will one day take over the world. Cheers.

[Trap] Kill The Noise – Roots (Brillz Remix)

This might be a little bold of me to say, but this could be the dirtiest Trap remix ever. Seriously though Brillz pulls out all the stops in this insane remix of Kill The Noise‘s track Roots, off of the Roots Remixed EP. Starting with a creepy intro with all sorts of animal sounds that makes you feel like your walking through the jungle. Then building into some absolutely insane dirty sounds that I can’t barely even describe. This could easily brain wash a small child if played loud enough and Brillz brings some of the nastiest sound design I’ve ever heard in this Trapped out banger. I didn’t think any track on this EP could even come close to topping Kill The Noise’s remix of his own song Jokes On You, but this one comes damn close. Cheers.

[Dubstep] JJAMZ – Heartbeat (Kicks N Licks Remix)

So I spoke with Jerrod (one of the two guys that make up Kicks N Licks) earlier today, and he said himself he was stoked about this release. It’s safe to say I love it more than the both of them combined. They use these vocals from JJAMZ track “Heartbeat” flawlessly by playing around with them during each drop, with all the right splices and tweaks. The wobbles on the other hand are just out of control, bringing some of the dirtiest sounds they have released to date. They got it mastered over in the UK so it’s understandable how they got this heavy bass abuse. Can’t wait for more massive releases from these two San Diego natives. Cheers.
