It’s a winning combination of future and classic sounds this week, which makes for the perfect mixed bag of candy for your ears. It’s just the type of music which might make a big victory even sweeter, or help ease the pains of a thrashing of epic proportions.
Whatever side of the fence you were on, it’s impossible not be a fan of this new fun-packed remix from dojo favourite Lindsay Lowend. The feverish master of bass has molded an 8-bit slow jam from Anamanaguchi’s ‘Prom Night’ and it sure knows how to show you a good time. If people are yet to take notice of this producer, this is the track to change the game. We’ve talked about them before, but West Australian duo Slumberjack are definitely ones to watch as well, dabbling in that infectious sweet sound coming out of Oz right now. This teaser for their new remix of ‘Hanging On’ was just too good to refuse, but will leave you desperately wanting more, so make sure to cop the full track out now. Cashmere Cat’s Wedding Bells EP is no doubt one of the best releases of the year so far, and French beatmaker Phazz has gone in with a remix that is crazy good. Taking signature Cashmere vibes and smashing them together with breathtaking melodies makes for one hell of mix, and we are just itching for this one to be released. But wait, there are more crazy beats and breaks are coming straight at you from dynamic duo AO Beats and Manila Killa, and we will not be held responsible for any damage incurred after the uncontrollable body moving that ensues. Luckily, we can slow things back down with this sultry wonder courtesy of a newly surfaced name in EMOJI KING. Though not much is known about this mysterious producer (or side project), one thing for sure is that he/she has already set plenty of hearts on fire with this one, ours included. These mad vibes continue from the likes of Tajan, Mr. Carmack and Mawhs, before we switch things up in a chill house direction. This comes courtesy of an alluring deep remake of the Galantis single ‘Smile’ from Denver duo Action 52. The smooth vocals from the original delve into some very soulful territory, forming a dangerous combination with the irresistibly hypnotic groove layered throughout.
So no matter the outcome from the big game, there’s no way anybody can intercept the vibes flowing from this week’s playlist. Peace out.
