After remaining relatively quiet since his debut LP, 2011’sYou Are All I See, Active Child is back with a new song titled “Evening Ceremony”. The track, full of divinely lush harp and his stunningly delicate vocals, is so wonderfully and beautifully sad. Like most of his material, the track makes your heart ache, but in the most healthy of ways. Check it out.

“Evening Ceremony” is off The Host: Choose To Listen soundtrack, which also features tracks from other TMN faves Ellie Goulding and Imagine Dragons.

Laura Mvula, the soulful UK songstress-phenom, recently performed at the Nobu Unplugged showcase in London and dropped a little surprise during her set, covering Michael Jackson‘s classic hit “Human Nature”. Subtle, yet sophisticated, her rendition absolutely works and only further reaffirms why the world’s closely watching this charming, rising artist. Blood Orange — aka Dev Hynes, aka the mastermind behind such hot pop tracks as Solange’s “Losing You” and Sky Ferreira’s “Everything Is Embarrassing” — has totally flipped the newest single from Phoenix. The smooth, synth-poppy “Entertainment”, in the hands of Hynes, becomes a velvety R&B jam, complete with tingling piano, a groovy bass, and a very real late night ’80s-classic feel. Considering the transformation, it’s a pretty stellar, stellar remix. Check it out.
