Autre Ne Veut – Play By Play (Video)

Aside from “Counting”, this track “Play By Play” is one of my absolute favorites off Autre Ne Veut‘s outstanding new sophomore album, Anxiety. Today the electronic-meets-R&B-meets-pop cut, full of tricky beats and a chorus to die for, gets treated to some visuals. Check out what happens in the karaoke bar by watching above.

[Electro Soul] Banks – Fall Over

Last month we featured the sultry vocals and electronic prowess of Los Angeles’ own Banks and her track “Before I Met You”. This week we get treated to another piece of new material in the form of “Fall Over”. Wild, warped and invigorating from start to finish, it’s the type of song that waves its hands in the air uncontrollably, but confidently, like an untamed, yet highly-advanced creature of music. The more we hear from her, the more we’re certain she’ll be a name to reckon with in 2013.

Local Natives – Heavy Feet (WALL Remix)

Compelling London singer-songwriter WALL — who we’ve spotlighted for her original work on “Shoestring” and “No Secrets” — is back, but this time in a reworking capacity. She takes hold of Local Natives‘ standout track “Heavy Feet”, remixing and giving it thick, syrupy new textures. Despite the cloudy atmospheric synths, WALL never loses sight of the Los Angeles band’s signature harmonies; they still shine through the hazy fuzz in a soothing, and almost triumphant way. Check it out/download it below.

[Electronic] Vicetone feat. Collin McLoughlin – Heartbeat

Not too long ago, we at The Music Ninja published a rather epic post on Vicetone that featured not only a great Q&A with the Netherlands-based duo, but a massive FREE! guestmix. So, it’s pretty obvious that we dig these guys and what they do, which is why we’re pretty stoked to share yet another new one from them. Featuring Collin McLoughlin, “Heartbeat” is a powerfully pounding and energetic track that’s sure to become a Spring/Summer anthem in no time, especially for all those new summertime flings. MS MR – Fantasy (Kele from Bloc Party Remix)

Just the other week we featured MS MR‘s titillating remix of “Pilgrim” by Danish songstress MØ. This time around, the New York-based duo get their own track reworked. “Fantasy”, the first single off the pair’s debut album Secondhand Rapture, becomes a heavy, throbbing, sweat-inducing house track when in the hands of Bloc Party‘s own Kele Okereke. [Folk] Luke Sital-Singh – Bottled Up Tight

Singer-songwriter Luke Sital-Singh pierces our hearts with this moving new track called “Bottled Up Tight”. The London artist, who previously released his debut EP Fail For You to much acclaim — couples his delicate, melting vocals with visual and poetic lyricism (“I feel the fire / I see the flame, set me alight / Bring me desire / Bottled up tight”).  The track is honest, beautiful and, by the end, nearly burns its emotions into you, sure to leave quite the impressive scar on your musical soul. Listen in below and pick up his forthcoming Old Flint EP on April 15th via Raygun Records.
