[Indie] Nightlands – So Far So Long

Recently, Philly’s Dave Hartley, aka Nightlands, released his sophomore album Oak Island. Representative of the record’s experimental tendencies — it somehow dabbles in retro balladry, folk rock, cool jazz, electro-pop, and well, nearly everything in between — is this standout track called “So Far So Long”. It’s wistful and romantic, yet never gives into the cliches of typical love songs, that is to say that it re-imagines the genre in fresh and exciting ways. Check it out below and be sure to see him live, he kicks off a US tour today!
