When two artists we love somehow find one another and collaborate, we feel pretty damn lucky, spoiled even. That’s exactly the case here. MØ, our favorite Danish electro pop songstress as of late has teamed up with New York’s sultry pop duo MS MR on this titillating remix of “Pilgrim”. Consider our minds blown. Check out the remix below, along with MØ’s awesome original (which officially drops February 25th via Chess Club/Neon Gold).

[Indie] Coasts – Stone
Bristol’s Coasts followup their energetic and infectious single “Ocean” with another riveting track called “Stone”. If you don’t feel yourself swept away by the built-up, momentous chorus — charging guitars, pounding percussion — you might want to check your pulse. Check it out below, and be on the lookout for their debut EP, Paradise, due out in April.
[Electro Soul] Laura Mvula – Green Garden (SOHN Remix)
The UK’s rising phenom Laura Mvula gets her excellent soulful-pop single “Green Garden” remix’d into a ghostly, hypnotic number courtesy of the electronic producer wunderkind (and TMN fave), SOHN. It’s a stunning listen, so be sure to check it out below.
Rhye – Open (Ryan Hemsworth Remix)
When I first got wind of this rework, my brain exploded a little. You see, I’ve covered both Rhye and Ryan Hemsworth extensively here on TMN: the former’s sultry R&B/Sade-like textures make me melt while the latter’s woozy, kinetic productions never seem to let me down. And now you’re telling me that they’ve joined forces and made a glowing, soulful remix of “Open”? The original version was enough to blow my mind. My two-word response: Hell Yes. Listen in via the video above or mp3 stream below.
Rhye’s highly anticipated debut LP, Woman, drops March 5th via Loma Vista.

[Download] Lion Babe – Treat Me Like Fire (Star Slinger Bootleg Mix)
He’s at it again, ladies and gents. The UK’s producer-genius Star Slinger has got his paws all over “Treat Me Like Fire”, the feisty electro-soul track by New York’s own rising duo Lion Babe. If you’ll remember, we were pretty head over heels for it not too long ago and it’s good to see we weren’t the only ones who instantly fell in love. As expected, Slinger puts the energy into overdrive and showers the original with a number of flashy, jumpy effects, turning it into a sultry, club-ready banger. Check out the ‘Bootleg Mix’ below and be sure to keep your eyes on Lion Babe.
[Indie Rock] Born Ruffians – Needle
Canadian indie rockers Born Ruffians have returned with a new single called “Needle”, off their new album Birthmarks. Channeling their more captivating 2008 record Red, Yellow & Blue than 2010’s Say It, the track is punchy and crunchy, riddled with dancing guitar lines, and buoyed so pleasantly by enthusiastic pop melodies and unrestrained joyous yelping. Take one listen and it’ll be bouncin’ around in your head for days. Tune in below.
Born Ruffians’ Birthmarks comes out April 16th on Yep Roc.
