[Chill] Washed Out – The Sound of Creation

Electronics company Philips recently approached Ernest Greene, aka Washed Out, asking him to participate in their Sound of Creation campaign. The resulting track, aptly titled “The Sound of Creation”, came about after exploring his many musical influences. It’s a lulling instrumental track filled with warm, relaxing tones. Back in 2010, Florida’s fuzzy indie rock group Surfer Blood unleashed their excellent debut album, Astro Coast. This summer, the band will release their sophomore LP titled Pythons. We get a taste of that record with the lead single, the dynamic, guitar-driven “Weird Shapes”.
