Adventure Club & Krewella – Rise & Fall (D!RTY AUD!O Remix)

Adventure Club and Krewella’s Rise & Fall has been one of my favorite tracks to listen to lately, and I’ve been anticipating this release ever since I first got word that D!RTY AUD!O would be remixing it. Of course, once I heard it, I could not stop listening. It’s safe to say that the Los Angeles producer took Rise & Fall and transformed it into his own moombahton signature style that he is known for and even infuses a little bit of trap to the mix.

Flosstradamus – Rollup (Baauer Remix)

Flosstradamus has done it again, but this time alongside Baauer. Before even listening to the track, I automatically knew that I would love it simply because Flosstradmus and Baauer have become some of my favorite producers recently and the two combined on a track is a perfect match. There’s no doubt in my mind that Rollup will become a smokers anthem and be played everywhere.  Make sure to grab Rollup on Fool’s Gold Clubhouse vol 2 for free here on 7/31.

[Event] Porter Robinson – Language Tour

When I arrived to the Ogden in Denver, Colorado for the Language Tour, I was surprised by the amount of people that were already there in the crowd ready for a fun night. It was my first time seeing The M Machine, and I was definitely not disappointed by their performance. The highlight of their set was when they dropped their drumstep mashup of “Glow” that they played towards the end. Unlike other dj sets that I’ve seen, they had a live set up and sang vocals. After The M Machine, came Mat Zo. I previously saw Mat Zo at Beta this year (which he killed) and was excited to see him again. It was interesting to see how his set differed from headlining his own event, to opening up for Porter. He stunned the crowd with his mixes and made them go even more crazy when he would drop tracks such as “One More Time” by Daft Punk.

Saying that Porter Robinson knows how to put on a show, is an understatement. If you’ve ever had the chance to see him, then you understand exactly what I am referring to. And if you haven’t, I highly suggest that you find out soon. Porter’s constant energy that he carries throughout the set is incredible. There isn’t a dull moment in his set and the crowd stays energized for every minute of it. Something that I personally enjoy about Porter’s sets is that he always manages to play tracks that I have never heard of, which is refreshing. The crowd went insane when Porter dropped his own tracks such as “Say My Name” and “100% in the Bitch” . Porter ended his set with “Language”, which was the perfect ending to the night.

Overall, the Language Tour was one of my favorite shows that I have seen in awhile. The entire show was like one big party throughout the entire night and The M Machine and Mat Zo were perfect openers. All the acts blend together nicely and you get a nice variety of music as the night carries on. There is only a few shows left of the tour, and if it’s coming to your city, I highly suggest that you go.

Chain Hang Low (Crizzly & AFK Remix)

One listen to this track, and I guarantee it will be stuck in your head. I remember listening to the original track when I was younger and not really liking it, so when I first saw this track appear on my soundcloud, I was curious as to what Crizzly and AFK did to the track. I’ve always loved how Crizzly maintains a hip hop vibe in a majority of his tracks while still incorporating his signature wobble sounds as well as AFK. The two together destroyed this track which is sure to be a hit whenever it is played.

[Event] Global Dance Festival 2012

It’s that time of the year again, where some of the best producers in electronic dance music come together for three nights in Colorado for Global Dance Festival (July 20th, 21st, and 22nd). The highly anticipated festival is known to be one of the best festivals in Colorado, if not the best. Not to mention that the festival is held at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, which is a breath taking venue. With the line up this year, it is sure not to disappoint. Friday’s lineup consists of Steve Angello, Knife Party, Hardwell, Felix Cartal, Krewella, and many more. Above and Beyond, Wolfgang Gartner, and Morgan Page, just to name a few that will be gracing the stage Saturday night with their music. Some of my personal favorites that will be playing on Sunday’s insane lineup include Dillon Francis, Adventure Club, 12th Planet, Rednek, and Excision.

If you plan on attending Global this year, make sure to check the set times and plan your night accordingly!

Madeon – Finale

It’s amazing to think that Madeon recently turned 18 and is already accomplishing the things that he has done. It’s apparent that the young producer, who is originally from France, is setting new barriers for electronic dance music. People tend to forget that there’s more to edm than just anticipating the “drop” in a track, which is why I personally love Madeon. His music is breaking the stereotypical structure of having a huge buildup in a track. In “Finale”, Madeon shows how it’s not just about the “drop” that people often associate edm with, but instead how it’s about the journey the track itself takes you on while you’re listening to it.

Arrested Development – Living [Leitbur Glowtronic Mix]

I’m a lover of hip hop and electronic music, so when these two genres clash together, I become an instant fan of the producer(s) that can make the track flow so beautifully. Leitbur does just that in their latest remix of  “Living” by Arrested Development  by blending together the hip hop vocals over an electronic/indie sound that makes this track hard to stop listening to. If you’ve never heard of Leitbur, now you have and I’m sure this won’t be the last time.
