[Dubstep] Foreign Beggars Feat. Skrillex – Still Getting It

Skrillex

Tomorrow will see the release of Skrillex‘s new mini-EP “More Monsters & Sprites” and finally we have the full 4-minute version of this mammoth collaboration with London boys Foreign Beggars. Featuring as part of Foreign Beggars new EP “The Harder They Fall“, the track see’s LA producer Skrillex stick to his classic carnage style of dubstep, whilst the grimey sounds of beggars keeps the energy going all the way to the end.

Love it? Yep – so do we. If you’re craving a bit more, you can get a cheeky preview Skrillex’s new EP over here 🙂

[French Electro] Feed Me – To The Stars

Feed Me - To The Stars

Ahhhh Frenchy sounding goodness. Currently I’m sat in the middle of a HUGE youth hostel in in Feed Me‘s home town of London, where I think that due to the huge numbers of French travellers, I may have been craving some sweet French electro sounds. With sentiments of Justice, Daft Punk and SebastiAn all being heard, I am duly loving this track which really takes off at around the 3-minutes mark as it drops into an undeniably phat bouncing beat.

Being released under Deadmau5‘s record label Mau5trap, the track will sit perfectly along side the labels other artists that include the likes of Skrillex, Nosia and Chris Lake. It’s also the title track on the Feed Me’s new EP which can be found on if you follow the nice Beatport link here 🙂

[Electro] Pressure (Alesso Remix) – Alex Kenji, Starkillers, Nadia Ali

alesso - pressure remix

Spotted & signed by Swedish House Mafia’s Sebastian Ingrosso, Swedish born Alesso is at it again. Not only has he released a killer remix of Save The World, this remix of Nadia Ali’s Pressure has already hit Hype Machine #1 spot – I think it’s safe to say he’s on fire at the moment.

At only 18 years old, Alesso provides inspiration to those younger than him and a gentle reminder of foregone childhood DJ dreams to those older than him! This track see’s him keeping the sweet vocals of Nadia Ali, mixing up the sound-bed provided by Alex Kenji & Starkillers and adding that sucker punch of a classic house drop. The track is also a grower, which meant after the 5th time of hearing it I decided I liked it, hopefully you will too. Now its time to put on some Sneaker and add this one to my running out playlist.

[Electro] Save The World Tonight – Remixes From Alesso & Style of Eye

This track from Swedish House Mafia just won’t go away, and now we’ve got some darn hot remixes for you. Coming from Alesso and Style of Eye, these remixes of Save The World Tonight have no doubt cemented the track firmly in its place of one of the best songs of 2011.

Alesso’s version was first previewed on Pete Tong’s BBC Radio 1 show and we’ve all been waiting for the full MP3 to drop. After gaining our attention with his awesome track Nillionaire which hit #3 in the electro charts, he’s taken Save The World tonight and added what a tight kick and squelched bass line. Being signed by Sebastian Ingrosso (one of the trio in Swedish House Mafia), the future is most definitely bright for Alesso.

Second up and having previously released tracks under Refune and Universal, producers Style of Eye and Carli team up to give some extra UMPH! This remix has been going a bit mental on all the blogs and rightly so – it’s massive.  Style Of Eye made a track last year ‘Anitdote‘, which blew me away, so it’s so good to see’s he’s back with just as strong a sound that’s set to make the dance floor go mental.

Flux Pavilion & Doctor P – 360° of Bass Mix… 2 hours long!

Doctor-P-+-Flux-Palivion-1

So who knew Flux Pavilion was actually a pretty darn good radio presenter!? Hosting a show along with Doctor P on BBC Radio 1, the pair proceeded to drop some of the BEST dubstep tracks around. Named ‘Flux Pavilion’s 360° of Bass‘, the show included mini mixes from Circus Record‘s FuntCase and Cookie Monsta, followed by a back-to-back mix by Flux and the Doc.

Seeing as the pair both run the dubstep label Circus Records, it was no surprise that a lot of their artists were included in all the mixes, but rightly so as Circus Records are pushing out some of the hottest dubstep talent right now. The mix also shows a few new tracks from the label including a big new tune ‘Neon‘ from Doctor P, which he describes as a comerical track that features a vocal from Jenna G. Dubstep readers… you’ve already hit play right?!

[Electro] Trick Pony – Boys Noize Remix

This one almost slipped through our Ninja Radar! German producer and all round legend Boys Noize taking Charlotte Gainsbourg‘s original track Trick Pony and adding some German filth to it Just like our previous post I Walk Alone, I found this track buried within Stéphane Pompougnac compilation Night and Day which is actually pretty nice compilation.

Rumour has it that Anglo-French Charlotte Gainsbourg is hard at work on her new album and has enlisted the services of none other than Beck to get the sound she’s after! Enjoy this one 🙂

[Chilled/Hip Hop] Billa Qause – I Walk Alone

billa

So on my quest for some dirty bass sounds, I came across the complete opposite and loved it! Hailing from Athens, Geece – Billa Qause approaches his music by adding vintage hip-hop beats to blues, swing and early 50’s sounds whilst chopping up the melodies and vocals. The result being a really chilled track that can by appreciated by both the hip-hop fan and the chillster.

Featured on the Night and Day compilation album through French label Because Music, this track will definitely get your head nodding.
