[Fresh Electro] Wolfgang Gartner feat. Will.I.Am – Forever

Wolfgang-Gartner-feat-Will-I-Am---Forever

Will.I.Am is bit controversial in the old music game. Boys Noize was the latest to call him out on sampling his track ‘Yeah” without giving credit. However – you’ve gotta give it to the Black Eyed Pea star – he does know a good tune when he hears one.

Wolfgang Gartner is renowned for producing the purist sounding beats and sounds in electro, this track is beautifuly crafted and really sets Will.I.Am to “do his thang”. Enjoy this one.

[Huge Dubstep] Nero – Guilt

When it comes to bridging the gaps between dubstep, drum and bass and house – British duo Nero are doing a bloody good job. Appearing on the BBC sound of 2011 list, the duo picked up a lot of momentum in 2010, releasing plenty of bass filled tracks and touring the world, leading to a lot of critical acclaim. Real names Dan Stephens & Joe Ray, the boys have been pounced on by Chase n Status who have popped them on their label MTA (More Than A Lot) who will releasing Nero’s new album ‘Welcome Reality’ on May 15th.

This track is quite simply huge and it features the perfectly suited vocals of Alana who seems to be Nero’s vocalist of choice as she’s appeared on quite a few of their heavyweight tracks & remixes. Be sure to pick up the full version on 24th April on iTunes

[Introducing/electro] Anchorsplash – only 14 years old

Now I’m not saying I’m jealous, but if I had the talent that Anchorsplash has at only 14 years old I’d be one happy man! Going through his catalogue of tracks, his style is obviously varied and I found myself liking a lot of it. If your not sure how to place him, think Deadmau5 meets Clouds – sick.

Real name Jake Brown and hailing from St. Louis, Anchorsplash sent us over 2 tracks to tease you with what he’s capable of.

The first track is WYWITB and what struck me the most was how mature it all felt – the sounds, builds and crashes a perfect for a banging live DJ set at a club – something Anchorsplash legally still can’t go to! The bouncy bass line seems to weave everything together for what’s a huge sounding track.

The second track is Perpendicular and it really shows a different side to Anchorsplash. Ripping appart a vocal sample along with a chunky beat – my favourite point of the track is around 4:22 when it all comes together. I think it’s safe to say – the kid got skills!

[Electro/House] Best Of This Weeks SoundCloud Charts (April 2011)

Best-Of-This-Weeks-soundcloud-charts

We’ve been bringing you the best of Beatport, but this week we’d thought we’d spice things and give you the best tracks from the Soundcloud Charts. So, without futher adieu – here our top 6 tracks:

#4 in SoundCloud Hot chart
[Progressive House] Oopart – All the cats are grey in the dark

Oopart is a 26 year old producer from Asunción, Paraguay and this track has been getting SOOO much love on the charts. While I’m usually a sucker for a screaming synth, this track from Oopart contains no such monsters, but instead takes you on a journey that’s hard not to love.

[Dirty Electro] Dead C∆T Bounce and You Killing Me – Justice (Big preview)

This track just ripped my speakers off! Italian duo Dead C∆T Bounce have teamed up with You Killing Me to create an insane track to scratch that dirty electro ich you’ve got. Their Soundcloud success wasn’t anticipated- prompting a shocked Facebook update from Dead C∆T Bounce “FUCK 4.000 plays in 2 days!!! Thanks ♥”  – well deserved success in my opinion.

Fukk Off - brain rock

#7 in SoundCloud Hot chart
[Dirty Electro] Fukkk Offf – Brain Rock (Cyberpunkers Remix) Preview

Cyberpunkers just don’t seem to stop! Formed in 2006, the Italian duo must have one of the most updated Soundcloud accounts on the internet. Their sound has definitely evolved since I first heard them and this track sounds like it will be snapped up by DJ’s worldwide as it’s now available on Beatport here

HOLY ghost#13 in SoundCloud Hot chart
[Funky Electro] Holy Ghost! – Wait & See (Flight Facilities Remix)

On DFA Records this year will see Holy Ghost! finally take a step out of  LCD Soundsytems’ shadow to step into the limelight with their danceable electro funk. Flight Facilities adds even more funk to their sound resulting in an uuuuber cool track that sounds perfect for one of those long drives.

#15 in SoundCloud Hot chart
[Dubstep] Zeds Dead – The Twilight Zone

Can you have too much Zed’s Dead in your life? No. Never 😉 The torronto based duo obviously have a plan for world domination as each track they release seems to be taking over the internet pixel by pixel. This latest offering I don’t think is there best work to date but will certainly go in my collection of bad ass tracks to scare my nan.

utku s#40 in SoundCloud Hot chart
[Electro House] Utku S.-Go Deep Down

Digged deep for this track and when it drops back in at around 2min25 – I was glad I did. Honestly, I’ve never heard of Utku S before seeing this tune, but from checking out the Turkish producers Myspace and Soundcloud – he’ll definitiely be one you want to follow.

[Dirty Electro] Zeds Dead – 1975

Zeds Dead - 1975

Zed’s Dead tracks consistently have the dirtiest, grimiest sounds going on and ‘1975‘ is no different. The Canadian duo have previously stuck to just remixes, but with their original production piece ‘Rude Boy’ and now this track, they seem to be shifting their focus. Kissy Sellout described Zed’s Dead as “the future of genres…flipping genius” and with their evolving & ever improving style of electro, I TOTALLY agree with him.

[Electro] DJ Snake ft. Eva Simons – Pressure In The Club (Disco Fries Remix)

DJ Snake ft. Eva Simons - Pressure In The Club (Disco Fries Remix)

Nice dirty drop for you today courtesy of American boys Disco Fries. The duo have gained quite a reputation from when they landed their first commissioned remix with Flo Rida’s track ‘Sugar’, and have since gone and created some pretty killer remixes for the likes off Usher, Far East Movement, Mike Posner, Estelle, Nelly Furtado, and many others.

The original track is from French producer DJ Snake and he got some sweet vocals from Eva Simons – who you may remember from Afrojack‘s banger of a track – ‘Take Over Control’. Enjoy this one 🙂
