Laidback Luke, Arno Cost & Norman Doray – Trilogy (Original Mix) [Progressive Collaboration]

Three of Europe’s best producers have teamed up to bring you a new club anthem aptly titled “Trilogy”. With a smooth blending of Laidback Luke‘s bouncy house beats, Arno Cost‘s disco funk stylings and Norman Doray‘s eclectic vocal musing, this track has everything a packed discotheque needs. Due to their respective busy touring schedules we may not see a Swedish House Mafia style three man power house team anytime soon but it is always exciting to hear the way senior club veterans bounce ideas off each other in audio form. Based on their schedule of releases its fair to guess that none of these artists plan on slowing down anytime soon either. Look out for more on Mixmash Records in the future and support house music if you can – its a cause that always gives back on the dance floor.

[Drum N Bass] Schoolboy – Day Dreamer

Schoolboy is an up and coming producer from Los Angeles who is putting out some great drumstep, dubstep and DnB bangers lately. His new EP titled “The Science Project” explores the full spectrum of electronic tempos and hard styles while still maintaining a consistent voice throughout. We especially like his spaced out melodies and shifting, heavy duty bass lines. Take a listen to our favorite single off the album, “Day Dreamer” and if it gets you fired up then pick up his album on Beatport here.

[Moombacore] Dillon Francis – IDGAFOS 2.0

LA Moombacore pioneer Dillon Francis is back in the spotlight with a fresh new update to his track IDGAFOS (read I Don’t Give A Fuck Or Shit) for his growing fan base. Although it maintains most of the same elements that made the original a hit he beefed up some of the bass synths and drove the syfy flute melodies even further into the ethereal realm through his production wizardry. Give it a listen and be sure to pick up his new EP “Something, Something Awesome” out on OWSLA via Beatport here.

[New] Zedd – Stars Come Out (Datsik Remix)

It is hard to believe that jet setting DJ / producer Zedd is only 21 years old. The scale and complexity of his songs brings to mind a veteran producer with a young spirit, but perhaps it is the other way around. I read an interesting interview with Zedd recently in which he described his sound as “complextro”, a new style of production where at least 9 oscillators are layered harmoniously to achieve the big room sound. In any case he is certainly one of the brightest rising stars in the EDM scene today and his electro tunes should keep getting better and better as time goes on.

Today we depart from the typical Zedd style and bring you an unusual rendition of his song “Stars Come Out” by Canadian dubstep giant Datsik. Through utilizing hype man stabs and lighting fast, siren-style dubstep basslines, Datsik takes this track into exciting new places while maintaing a relatively uplifting, happy vibe, which I would consider to be a departure for him. This is definitely one of the most unique dubstep tracks I’ve heard in a while and I hope you enjoy it.
