[Epic Collab] Skrillex & The Doors – Breakin’ A Sweat (Zedd Remix)

I’m super stoked to see Skrillex and Zedd at Pacha Nightclub here in NYC on February 1st. No doubt it will be an EPIC show! While each of these cutting edge young artists stand on their own in their respective genres, when they come together for a track the sky is the limit. This time Zedd took the oddball vocals, gnarly bass swells and brilliant arpeggio melodies of the original collaboration with The Doors and molded it somehow into his signature progressive electro sound. This track just makes you move in a subconscious, primal way. Come on baby light my fire!

[Remixes] Adrian Lux – Teenage Crime (Stereotronique Remix)

Yet another young producer to keep on your radar this year is Adrian Lux from Stockholm, Sweden. He will be debuting his music at this year’s SXSW festival in Austin if you happen to be around the way. Otherwise check out his tunes on the web and see why Sebastian Ingrosso and Pete Tong are supporters of his music. Never satisfied, we found a sick new remix of Adrian Lux’s track “Teenage Crime” by Canadian broken beat electro producers Stereotronique. They took Lux’s moody vocals and driving beat into new territory and added their heavy hitting synths to the mix. Nothing less than world wide music mayhem for your listening pleasure.

[Throwback] Intergalactic Lovers – Fade Away

From time to time here at TMN we come across a band that is so awesome we have to use Google Translate to bring you information about it! One such band is the Intergalactic Lovers hailing from all across the globe including the Netherlands, Namur, Impe and Aaist. If you know where the last three places are then your geography is better than this writer. Among the many interesting factoids the Google Translator came up with about the Intergalactic Lovers is this: “Putting yourself is very important act, but the fruits of their passion, they take seriously”. Good to know. In any case we hope you enjoy this throwback indie rock tune from a band far far away.

[Dubstep] Kimbra – Two Way Street (PatrickReza Remix)

When it comes to making great music, age ain’t nothin’ but a number. Indeed, if an artist’s productions are on point it can be a marked advantage to be young in this industry. A veritable army of vibrant young producers are storming to the front lines as they disregard stereo types and rules of engagement. One of our favorite freshmen dubstep artists is Patrick Reza from the city of angels. With his intricate drum patterns, broken uplifters and natural sensibility for morphing dubstep archetypes into unique combinations this 18 year old producer has got the touch. Just give a listen to his first major label release of “Two Way Street” by Kimbra and you’ll see why. Available for free download on his Facebook page at this link:

[Vocal Dubstep] Delilah – Go (Enigma Remix)

Here at The Music Ninja we really enjoy genre bending tracks and remixes that explore new territory. UK dubstep artist Enigma‘s take on fellow Brit singer Delilah‘s debut track “Go” certainly qualifies. Through maintaining this talented singer’s vocal quality and matching a similar melancholy ambiance to his machinery-style synths, Enigma weaves his voice in with Delilah’s quite well. Not necessarily a game changer, but this track explores the convergence of singer / songwriter and underground dubstep styles successfully in this writer’s opinion.
